Does this white plate relatively closely match white Lutron switch/dimmer/receptacle products or is there a noticeable difference?

It is very close. I have both on the same wall and unless you look very closely, you wont be able to notice much difference. This is a slight difference in shade and the Cooper is a little bigger and has slightly rounder edges. But they are very similar side by side. For the price, the Cooper is a great buy and it covers up wall damage from previously installed wall plates. Highly recommended!

Are the connection tabs visible on the top or only on the bottom of the plate? Concerned about looks and dust collection.

The plate identifies the top and if it’s installed correctly the tabs will face the bottom and cannot be seen from the top or sides.

Does it feel loose around any of the edges after installation?

If the outlet or switch is installed correctly and the physical box is flushed with the wall then the cover sits flushed against the wall with absolutely no play. It’s definitely not loose.

How does the mounting plate attach to existing outlet?

This plate comes in 2 pieces. The back piece attaches with screws, the front piece snaps onto the back piece. You need to make leveling adjustments on the back piece.
