Life saver for small puppies
PRO:-Durable, long lasting for small dogs-somewhat easy to clean-does not rust, completely made of plastic-able to take many shapes-detachable panels-waterproofCON:-not for all dogs. do not buy for dogs who can climb, are strong chewers , and/or are medium to large dogs. climbers can stick their claws in the holes and can definitely climb out.- no "ceiling" aka no top cover- gate is locked in 3 ways: a latch, a hook, and a finger release. the latch can be taped to unlock position. the hook is annoying. the finger release is short and not strong enough for strong dogs. i'm sure that cutting off the hook is possible, but it will significantly weaken the gate's integrity. the gate does not open like a door. with the latch taped to the unlock position, you open the gate by sliding and holding to unlock the finger release lock - > lift the door vertically up to unlock the hook lock -> then push the gate outward like a door. this is challenging for my kids and my husband. not the easiest thing to maneuver.I first bought two sets about 15yrs ago when I had two small dogs (10 lb Maltese, 12 lb Poodle): one with fence panels and another set of fence panels w/ 1 gate panel. The maltese was small, so he couldn't get out. The poodle has a longer body and more mischievous / determined and was successful in climbing out one time (the poodle is older now and less determined these days). The maltese chewed up quite a few areas of the fence, but not successful in chewing off any pieces of the panels. all of the panels still function efficiently after all these years, despite looking quite beat up.I now have two 4 lb Cavapoo puppies currently at 9wks old. They need to run around ALOT. i bought a 3rd set of fence panels. i now have 8 panels indoors to create a rectangle (but it can be conformed into many shapes) and 4 panels outdoors square-shape on the lawn for faster, safer potty breaks. I have panels wrapping around our TV stand (puppies wanted to crawl through the shelves). Two-piece panels V-shaped to block off around the kitchen island. 3 fence panels with 1 gate panel to block off a doorway. Remember, these panels are flimsy when straightened out, so some of the panels need to kinked in directions to stay upright. Again, this fence set is fantastic for small dogs and unlikely fit for bigger (obviously stronger) dogs.

REAL Customer Service! And great for 2nd child...
I heavily debated whether a play yard would be "worth it" for the few months that our 2nd child would happily(?) play inside it. After a few weeks of debating (what TOOK me so long?!) I finally clicked "buy" when she was crawling and getting into all of our 4yo's toys.SO WORTH IT! We have used it EVERY single day since it arrived two months ago. Our 11mo has her toys inside, which keeps them and her contained. The door (wasn't sure I'd want) is worth it for our 4yo who can open it (he's not adventurous enough to try climbing over, and really would discourage it if he did).We keep it in our carpeted playroom and currently have it open against a couch - THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED BY MANUFACTURER - so husband or I can lie down inside while baby crawls over us. On carpet, it doesn't move much. And once we have a walking baby, we'll still use it (in the proper configuration, not open!) - if just to have a place to stick her while taking a shower!NOW - Customer Service. Our gate arrived with the door latch broken. I called the number AND SOMEONE ANSWERED - no "press one ..." - a real PERSON! I explained why I was calling, she stated I needed to speak to "person A," who wasn't there, but would call me back tomorrow. I GOT A CALL BACK, a couple of questions later, and "what's your address, so I can send you a new door." Done. Seriously, they know how to run a business.I can't say enough good things. Yes, it's a baby jail. That's what I fondly call it. But the baby is safe ... if you're in there, she's happy. SO WORTH IT!!

Great But Challenging
I did a TON of research in order to find a play pen I was confident would be safe, secure, & not an eye sore. This pen works brilliantly. I've had it for over 3 months now & I've put it to the test for sure. Its a dependable product. I feel at ease with my child playing in it knowing she can't get out or knock it over; & the ivory color & the style incorporates well with our home decor. There are a few cons but overall this pen is the best I've seen by far.Size: The size is more than enough for my 9 month old. I bought an extender pack but don't really use it; perhaps when she's older.Material: The plastic is extremely sturdy. It doesn't crack or break I believe because of the bendable nature of the material. It has a slight give which helps absorb force. I never feel like its going to break.Safety: The gate is a grear feature. It has a lock which uses a click switch, with a squeeze & lift handle so it takes some coordination to open. A child has to really know what they're doing & be able to lift the gate to open it. It doesn't seem like it would be a simple task for them...or am I underestimating the power of their determination lol! The con is..the gate is tricky for adults too! Its easy to figure out how it works & use it; its just the latches don't fall into place smoothly. You have to give it a push & wiggle a few time for the latch to open & close properly; which can sometimes be a pain because you have to squeeze the top handle when doing so. However; it still does the job & I feel like my child is secure. It also comes with skid stopper pads. They're adhesive pads that go on the bottom to prevent sliding. My home is carpeted & it doesn't skid so I'm impressed. I've also placed it on a play mat & no give. Even when my little one stands up, holds on to the gate & shakes & bounces; nothing. That's a huge plus in my book.Set Up: Its a joint locking system. Each panel has a joint on the top & bottom which connect to the corresponding joints. No brainer. Pop them in place & create a hexagonal or rectangular pen. The con is it takes a bit of muscle & watching your fingers so they don't get pinched when snapping the joints into place. Its not a simple 5 second task. Be warned it is a time consuming task to set up. Not difficult; just time consuming. You're not going to be like voilà! And once its set up & you're taking it out again its still not voilà! The joints are stiff so its challenging to form the pen into a shape. The joints will sound like they're breaking because they make a loud pop sound when you move the hinges. Perhaps the hinges have to be that unyielding in order to be as sturdy as they are? Once those joints are set & the pen is in place its not moving lol.Take Down: Disconnect the gate & it can accordian back into a stack. The con is the same as with the setup. Take down is time consuming. Don't expect to set your little one down & be like TADA! Nope. The gate is a challenge & a half to pop off from its joints. The accordian stack doesn't just fall into place; you have to pop & position each joint all the way down.Storage: This pen once stacked down can easily fit into a closet or behind a sofa. Storage isn't a issue. In summary, its definitely an awesome play pen. One of the best items I've purchased. I love it!It has its challenges for sure, but those are minor bumps in my opinion.
