Tedious heroine--skip this book.
My god, the heroine of this story is tedious. All she does is complain. I am 2/3 of the way through, and honest to god, what I really want to happen is for the hero to tell her to go jump in a lake, then go find a woman who doesn't argue with LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE SAYS AND DOES. He says he wants something, she says no, he says okay, she says oh, wait, don't you love me anymore? TEDIOUS. I enjoyed the other books so far, but Charity? No. She's dull, whiny, argumentative, too stupid to live (really? Going for a drive in a blizzard? Really?), and I feel like the hero deserves someone better. I'm to the point of starting to wonder what is wrong with the hero that he would put up with someone so negative. Skip this one.

I just can't help but love Desire, OK
It appears that this series/books you either like or don't like. I can't help but be drawn in to the series. I love the town so much. Some books I like more than others. This book I will put up there with 'RawDesire' in that not only was it a lot of fun to read you got some great character development and insight. This book saw much more of the town's people and what they are like. In particular (and i would like to give a huge, Huge, HUGE 'Thank you' to Ms Brooks for this) we see a lot more of the Ross brothers (next to Desire Security my favorite guys). Hunter and Remington pop up here and there and just make me swoon....(yes, swoon). I would recommend this to any other Desire, OK people out there. The only detraction (and not really a detraction) is this: let's move some storylines on. Let's wrap up Nat and not revisit over and over some of the other characters (though I can kinda understand the need to set the stage, however...) It is very obvious that Brandon and Ethan as well as Hunter and Remington need to find their mates. Linc and Rafe as wel las the Desire Security boys too. Let's see some of Mike and John and maybe even Logan. I feel like things are starting to get weighed down.I love Ms. Brooke's writing in that it is engaging, well done, and has her usual trade-mark smexiness. I always look forward to her books coming out!

Not bad
It wasn't bad. In my opinion she's too whiny and he was too pushy. yes Charity did reach out to family and friends for their help when she had her automobile accident. It was extremely stupid on her part not to check the weather before going to another town and then not turning around when she realized it was so bad. Beau was there for her afterwards but he wasn't his playful self as before. He wanted Charity to reach out to him. Who cares if they are having an affair and / or living together. The town, family and everyone would understand and probably encourage them. But then again, this is only my opinion.

loved it
These two lovers took a journey through the dark sides of fear and came out at the end more in love then when the book started, I wish there would be an 8.5 on these two and her sister, reading about two couples being pregnant and the way they get into trouble, as only they can making their husbands happy and worried as the births get closer and then go into labor at the same time. How their demanding hard as rock men become teddy bears holding the babies, their mom and dads glowing. It would have to be done with the Desire, OK touch that only Leah has but would be a great love story. Please let there be a book 9, I would love to fill all the memory on my iPad with Desire, Oklahoma.

Desire follower
I've been waiting for this story, and I did enjoy it. I just wasn't as engaged as I expected. I think I was just caught up in the timeline as I wasn't sure how this could have been happening during the time frame listed. I was glad to finally get Charity and Beau's story. The characters as always were engaging. Charity didn't seem to show as much character as she had in the other novels I've seen her in but still her personality came through. Beau was masterful. I love to read about the town of Desire and eagerly await each one.

A wonderful series - you will enjoy it
Start with book 1 and go from there. with all books, you will find a few typos but the over all story is amazing, each one is with a different character in Desire and with all the personalities the story lines will differ. You will enjoy each of the books in a different way. I can't wait for the rest of the town to get their turn to tell their story. With so many left to tell The Author has many books left to go and I am hoping soon to hear about Ethan & his partner, they have helped everyone else in the town and deserve their HEA also.

Heartfelt Love Story
Let me start off by saying I love Leah Brooke and everything she writes. That being said this is one of her best works yet! You can literally feel the love that these two have for each other.A story filled with saucy nights and daring confrontations will have you on the edge of your seat!10/10 must read again!

Cute
Charity doesn't want to be serious with Beau because she thinks all he wants to do is play - until he stops wanting to play and she can't figure out why.

A refreshing change...loved it!
What I loved most about this book from start to finish was how different it is from other similar genre/theme books at the moment, and in fact a bit different from Leah's other novels. Even the beginning is great, none of the samey often boring lead up of the character's meeting, tiptoeing around each other, getting to know each other etc etc, the two leads in this Beau and Charity already have a solid erotic relationship going and this book is refreshing as you follow how it evolves and grows throughout. It feels more like a second book, which it sort of is as people will have read about them in the previous books from the series. I think Leah captures greatly the emotion between the two character's, how each is feeling and where they want to relationship to go. There is even book time between Beau POV and Charity's POV which is good to see. I even felt like Leah's writing had improved greatly, it didn't feel like one of her books, apart from the obvious possessiveness of the Desire male population and the erotic sex scenes. Leah has definitely improved for the better. Loved it and hope she keeps it up.
