I enjoyed it in my tea. A very small piece added as much sweetness as a much larger brown sugar cube, plus additional flavor. I ordered a second bag, which I opened a few months later. I noticed what looked like a piece of hard brown straw in my tea. Another day, I felt tiny pieces of sand or glass in my mouth. They were an irregular shape, dark brown, and shiny. When I poured out my tea there was a residue of sand or glass at the bottom of the cup. It would be too small to strain, so I’ll have to throw the package out.

Literally HAIR in the chunks of jaggery and the company refuses to replace or refund the item.

The pieces are so rock hard they are unusable as is. I discovered, like you might do with brown sugar, that you can add a slice of bread to the bag. That pulled out moisture and I was able to crumble the pieces or they dissolved in hot water.

This is a very dark strong flavored jaggery it’s my personal favorite ( I miss the old foil bag it used to come in it was a better bag) but the crystals are still the same.

Use with my " cold brewed" tea. Adds a nice taste. I break the larger pieces into a manageable size and it dissolves as the tea " cold brews" over 24 hours. Very rustic sugar. Abit of trouble to use as has to be broken up from the very hatd pieces you receive / I put it in a folded piece of foil / and use a small mallet the store the broken up product in the original package. Worth the effort though I think
