Merula Menstrual Cup Menstrual Cup Made from Medical Grade Silicone

I absolutely love this cup. I have a very low cervix and had had issues with other cups. I saw a gal on YouTube who had the same issues and she recommended this cup. No regrets! 5/5 recommend!

Really decent quality, but OUCH! I used to love my old Femmycycles (that were discontinued, and many people said this was similar), but this one is nothing like those. Other than the cauldron shape, this is not like the Femmycycle. The FC was a very soft and pliable plastic/silicone, and was totally clear. It had a fold down top that prevented leaks - Seriously, they NEVER leaked in my 3 years using them. This cup is made of a frosty silicone that is very firm to the squeeze. It is definitely meant to pop open once installed. I tried it for the first time last month, and it not only leaked when it wasn't yet full the first two days, but on day 3, after several hours of wear, the cup somehow shifted on its own and caused immense pain. I thought I had suddenly developed severe cramps out of nowhere, to the point that I couldn't even sit down, I kept walking back and forth wondering when the 'cramping' would end. Even my spouse was concerned, as he'd never seen me behave that way before. As a last resort, I decided to remove the cup. Instantly - the pain ceased. I appreciate the quality of this product, and I'm sure it's amazing for some. For me, it is way too stiff, unfortunately.

I bought this cup in hope that it would work with my super low cervix and heavy flow. This cup has no air holes! It took me 20 minutes to get the cup to pop open, and I ended up laying down and poking around down there until it finally opened. This cup is very large, and put pressure on my bladder and colon. Yikes. (Edit) I got my period and am now using the cup. I figured out how to get it to pop open and it works just fine. No bladder pressure or colon pressure, I just wasn't positioning it correctly. It contains my tsunami of a period and it is comfortable. Only downside is the suctioning to my cervix, as that makes my cramps worse. Overall, imma keep it because it works!

This has been the best menstrual cup I've ever tried, personally. Considering I have a VERY low cervix in addition to a retroverted uterus (which makes the cervix point towards the tailbone rather than forward) I am very happy I never gave up on menstrual cups. Boy, let me tell you I was ready to throw in the towel, seriously. That is until I've tried this and now I will never go back to pads (I could never comfortably use tampons). This cup is very very comfortable when properly inserted in my experience and it almost never leaks unless it is very full (in that case change it). Honestly, if I didn't have cramps, I would probably feel like I wasn't even on my period while wearing this, you literally can't feel it! The only caveat is that this cup does place a bit of pressure on my bladder which makes urinating difficult sometimes, just a heads up for that. That being said, this is all according to my own body and how it fits the cup, so everyone will be different from me. But if you have a low cervix (that doesn't feel comfortable with most other cups) and don't mind the odd shape of the cup (which could mean bladder pressure depending on your body), then I would say definitely try this cup!

I love the Merula cup! I had previsouly been using a mooncup and although I had initial success with it, I had started to have some leakages each month on my heavier days or whilst at the gym. The Merula just works for me, no leaks at all on my first period with this cup, it just seems to collect all the blood no matter what. I think the 'cauldron' shape vs. the longer bell shape of the Mooncup seems to be a winner for my vagina, it sits in there rather well :) love it! You don't even have to get the cup to fully 'pop open' it works even when still collapsed due to the sdhape and suction..?!.. The ring and cup seems to form a great seal inside and I just love how confomfortable and secure this cup makes me feel. Very much recommended especially if you have had some leaking with previous bell shaped cups, maybe this rounder cauldron shape will be the best option for you too :) Go for it!

Premetto che questa è la mia prima coppetta e che ho fatto una marea di ricerche e chiesto consiglio sui forum prima di acquistarla...acquisto alla fine effettuato in barba ai suddetti consigli, dato che sembra che nessuna donna in Italia sia fan della Merula e tutte tendevano a indicarmi marche differenti. Ho scelto questa perchè ho 26 anni, sono nullipara, ho il canale stretto e piccolo, il pavimento pelvico molto tonico, l'utero retroversoflesso, la cervice medio bassa ma purtroppo anche un flusso ultra abbondante. Merula è il miglior compromesso che ho trovato tra tutte queste sfig...caratteristiche. Non avrei potuto scegliere altro, dato che una coppetta piccola si sarebbe riempita troppo in fretta e una grande ma di forma tradizionale mi avrebbe senza dubbio fatto male e sarebbe stata inadatta alla mia conformazione. I vantaggi di Merula secondo me sono: -ha una forma panciuta e corta che la rende adatta a tantissime donne (forse sono escluse solo quelle che hanno là sotto un'enorme caverna...mi sembra ideale per conformazioni piccole e medie) -non avendo i fori non c'è la storia che si possono otturare e tracimare -è corta ma estremamente capiente già nel modello base, e ve lo assicura una che ogni mese si dissangua -il materiale mi sembra di ottima qualità. Per i miei gusti è un FILINO troppo rigida e un pochino la sento sempre, ma almeno così sono sicura che stia al suo posto senza deformarsi sotto i miei muscoli. E come già detto, non avrei potuto sceglierne una più piccola o più lunga Gli svantaggi sono: -costa un pochino di più di altre coppette -la scaletta è comoda, ma chi ha il canale corto deve lasciare solo un anello, i cui angoli una volta tagliati a mano possono essere un po' fastidiosi. Io ci avrei fatto un solo anello morbido, ben sagomato industrialmente, e via -serve un po' di pratica. Avete visto video su come inserire e togliere le coppette? Dimenticateveli. Usate già un'altra coppetta? Dovete imparare a mettere e togliere questa in modo diverso. Il foglietto dice che la piega che si deve fare è la push down (mi sembra si chiami così, dovete premere sul fianco panciuto verso il basso) e va inserita con la piega verso il basso e l'anello in alto. Ma ciò non è valido per l'utero retroverso: io mi trovo bene solo infilandola "al contrario" di come consiglia il produttore. Non spaventatevi: dopo uno-tre cicli ci avrete sicuramente preso la mano, parola mia, e potete anche infrangere le "regole" per vedere come vi trovate meglio. Anche per toglierla, bisogna premere sul fianco per farla piegare di nuovo e solo allora tirare verso il basso. Su YT ci sono alcuni video molto interessanti che vi fanno vedere anche visivamente come si fanno queste operazioni. All'inizio ci vorrà MEZZ'ORA ogni volta che la mettete e la togliete: sappiate che è perfettamente normale e che il tempo diminuirà con la pratica e col grado di rilassamento e scioltezza che pian piano raggiungerete. Personalmente, dopo la prima comprensibile disperazione dovuta all'inesperienza e al fastidio di avere una cosa di silicone semirigido infilata stabilmente voi-sapete-dove, ho iniziato a vedere che si riempiva magicamente quanto due assorbenti da notte prima che fosse necessario pulirla; ho iniziato a rendermi conto di quanto io abbia risparmiato già dal primo ciclo e quanto l'ambiente possa beneficiare del fatto che non butto più 20-30 assorbenti ogni mese nell'indifferenziato. Ho imparato a conoscere molto meglio l'anatomia del mio corpo, ho ripreso contatto con l'aspetto naturale del sangue che, restando nella coppetta al chiuso, non si ossida e non puzza. Magari le prime volte fa un po' impressione vederne così tanto tutto insieme, ma del resto è il vostro sangue, non c'è niente di brutto, ed era lo stesso che prima finiva negli assorbenti. Questo comunque è un aspetto che chiunque inizi ad usare qualunque coppetta deve considerare all'inizio. Supererete anche questo, fidatevi, e non riuscirete più a farne a meno. Io sono passata nel giro di qualche giorno da "uhm non riesco a metterla, vediamo come va" a "me la porto su un volo intercontinentale di 11 ore, che bello"! Tirando le somme questo è un prodotto veramente ottimo e mi stupisce che non sia diventato più famoso sul mercato italiano. Lo consiglio molto, soprattutto nella versione ice-trasparente, che secondo me permette meglio di capire quanto si sia riempita.

Esta es mi tercera copa menstrual, y es la primera vez que me voy a la cama o salgo e casa más de 9 horas sin usar una compresa. Y me despierté sin ninguna fuga o lo que sea. Tengo un cuello uterino bajo, y es difícil encontrar una copa que se adapte a mis necesidades y puede mantenerme seco durante toda la noche o todo el día sin preocuparte por las manchas. Estoy muy contento con esta copa. Al principio estaba pensando en comprar el femmycup, pero después de las críticas que leí, decidí comprar esta. Hasta ahora no me arrepiento y es fácil de insertar y abrir. Lo único es que os recomendaré que veáis vídeos en YouTube sobre cómo abrirlo, porque una vez que sepáis el truco no tendréis dificultades

Angefangen hab ich mit der Me Luna, Welche sich nicht immer richtig entfaltet hat weder die normal noch die sport Variante. Danach war ich lange zufrieden mit der Selenacup. Welche sich schon besser entfaltet. Im Vergleich zur Merula kein so weiches Silikon, dadurch hatte ich das Gefühl dass wenn es dem Ende meiner Tage zu ging alles gereizt war durch das öftere rein und raus. Weswegen ich dann den Menstruationsschwamm von Marie Natur (die sind echt super) benutzte, seit ich die Merula habe ist nix mehr gereizt, ich denke das kommt daher weil sie so schön weich ist. ^^ So jetzt zum Merula Cup. Ausbrobiert hab ich den weil ich dachte vieleicht gibt es ja noch was besseres, so hab ich mir zwei Hersteller angeschaut und gekauft, einmal ne Variante bei der der Rand länger dicker gearbeitet ist (Einhorn) und die Merula. Mit der hab ich angefangen zu testen, und muss leider sagen die gefällt mir so gut, dass ich die von Einhorn noch nicht ausprobiert habe. Was soll ich sagen die Merula ist einfach die Beste die ich je verwendet habe. Klar erstmal muss man schauen wie man die am besten benutz. Handling: Ich habe für mich herraus gefunden am besten klappt es bei mir wenn ich sie, mit der Punch Down Faltung falte. Also Rand innne nach unten drücken und falten. Dann die Trasse so einführen, dass die Aufploppende Seite von der Blase wegzeigt. So klappt es bei mir am besten. Das wieder herrausholen, empfehl ich unbedingt in der Dusche oder über der Toilette, denn wenn die richtig voll ist bassiert es manchmal dass sie schon ausläuft bevor ich sie ganz draußen habe. Aber sie läßt sich von allen Tassen die ich je hatte am besten wechseln. !!!UNd ganz wichtig nicht an der Leiter herraus ziehen immer das Vakuum vorher lösen.!!! Tragegefühl usw.: Also Beim einsetzen und ca. 1 min noch ist es etwas unangenehm, wenn beim mir das Unangeneh Gefühl länger andauert weiß ich sie sitzt nicht richtig und sie muss neu platziert werden.Ich denke das unangenehme kommt daher, das Sie sich gerade um den Muttermund legt und der ist laut meinem Frauenarzt (bei mir auf jedenfall empfindlich). Aber dann spüre ich sie gar nicht. Ich habe sogar das gefühl das bei sie sogar die Gesammt stimmung etwas verbessert weiß nicht ob da tatsächlich ein Zusammenhang besteht wenn ja ist das sehr schön, ich tippe das ist der Runden Form zu zu schreiben. ^^ Inzwischen weiß ich, ich gehöre wohl zu den glücklicheren Frauen, denn wenn ich so lese, dass andere Frauen ihr Tampon alle 2-3 Stunden wechseln oder ihre Tasse. Hab ich wohl nen 6er im lotto. Also die Selena hab ich auch so nach 6-8 Stunden mal gewechselt. Aber die Merula echt sehr sehr fantastisch ca alle 12 Stunden. Also ich PLatziere sie bevor ich zur Arbeit gehe und leere sie bevor ich schlafen gehe, Heißt für mich nur 2x in 24 Stunden wird sie geleert und wieder eingesetzt so muss ich den ganzen Tag nicht daran denken. Seit ich diese Tasse benutze ist es echt viel entspannter nicht stänndig überlegen wann sollte ichmal wieder schauen. Oder man ist gerade auf dem Weg zur Toilette weil man Zeitlich überfällig wäre und wird dann noch von einem Kollegen zugetextet. Nein Wie wenn ich meine Tage gar nicht habe. Man merkt bestimmt schon ich bin total begeistert. Pro: - Lange Tragedauer durch großes Füllvolumen ( 12 bis 14 Stunden) - sitzt echt angenehm ( hm welche Tasse, ich spürre nix) - sitzt dicht - Weich (keine Reizung) - Gutes Gefühl/bessere Laune (Vieleicht ist dies der Runden Form geschuldet) Contra: - erfordert wie bei allen Tassen auch etwas Übung - läuft beim Entfernen manchmal aus. Update 2022-12-02: Kontra - Nutze sie mom. nicht, da sie evtl verantwortlich ist, dass meine Spirale Richtung Aussgang gezogen wurde. Das Neusetzen der Spirale war nicht angenehm, weswegen ich mom. angst hab die Merula wieder zu nutzen (Schade dabei mag ich diese Tasse ) Inwischen hab ich zwei, Rosa und Ice. Die eine hab ich bei Rossmann gekauft, leider gibt es die nicht in jeder Rossmann filiale, Und dort hatten sie zwei Farben zur auswahl. Bei Edeka hab ich sie inwischen auch gesehen da allerdings nur in eienr Farbe. Ps: ich denke jede Frau sollte diese Tasse mal testen, ich finde es selbst schade, dass ich nicht schon immer diese Tassen benutzen konnte. Noch ein paar Eckdaten: Bin 33 Jahre, 171groß, keine Kinder, Spirale, schlechtes Bindegewebe.

Die Merula ist meine zweite Menstruations Tasse und ich hätte keine zwei Tassen wenn ich diese als erstes gekauft hätte. Am Anfang als ich von Tampons auf eine Tasse umgestiegen bin habe ich mir wirklich nicht viel Gedanken gemacht und auch nicht wirklich gemessen. Ich habe mich nur gewundert warum meine Tasse davor (Divine Cup) nicht immer hält obwohl die Tasse wirklich nicht günstig, und auch nicht schlecht aber eben auch nicht die richtige für mich war. Als ich mir nach nem halben Jahr mehr Gedanken gemacht und mal gemessen habe ist mir eben aufgefallen das mein Muttermund viel zu niedrig für den Divine Cup sitzt und der Muttermund dadurch schon in der Tasse oder direkt daneben liegt und somit das Blut vorbei läuft. Mit der Merula habe ich keine Probleme was das betrifft, sie ist kurz aber fasst trotzdem sehr viel Blut um sie nicht ständig wechseln zu müssen (ich habe eine schwache bis mittlere Blutungsstärke). Man muss nur die richtige Falttechnik für einen finden. Dadurch das die Merula keine Löcher oben am Rand hat habe ich das Problem das sie ein starkes Vakuum erzeugen kann wenn sie nicht richtig sitzt, was bei mir zu sehr schmerzhaften Unterleibsschmerzen geführt hat. Aber jetzt hab ich den Bogen raus (zweite Periode mit der Tasse) und ich möchte sie nicht mehr missen, mir bietet sie sehr viel Schutz, ich spüre sie nicht mehr (es sei denn sie öffnet sich) und ich habe bis zu 12 Stunden Ruhe bevor ich sie entleeren muss. 👍🏻
