I am not sure where it is made. The expiration date should be on the product or the box.

What is the average life span of this product?

It varies depending on where it's purchased. The lot I purchased from earlier this month expires in about 18 months. I've been buying Calgonate for several years from various vendors and that is the longest window I've found for awhile.

That is a good question. They have expiration dates but you might find it difficult to get the vendor to give you that info before you purchase them. Often times if the price is low it is because they have expired or about to expire.
