OrbitPlastic Drain Valve 1 pk

I purchased these for use in North Carolina in a undergound lawn sprinkler system to help winterize. I have never in 6 years had a problem since the RainBird sprinkler heads seem to allow leakage in our area but these allow drainage after the system loses pressure. Recommend you put some pea gravvel about the area of small shoe box to allow drainage.

Works and it costs less than the Rainbird version.

Last spring I found (to great alarm) that my underground sprinklers were erupting in a geyser from an odd location in my yard whenever they were turned on. After digging out the odd spot and finding that there was an unusual "knob" in my line, I unscrewed it and found an old & broken thing-a-ma-bob. After Googling the serial numbers printed on it, I found that it was an automatic drain valve. After reading up on a do it yourself website, I searched Amazon and found this inexpensive replacement part. It arrived 2 days later, I screwed it in place, and my problem was solved. Simple!

This water system auto-drain valve works very well. So reasonably priced I bought two one for a spare.

This is nice little device to save from having to do a blowout prior to winter it will bleed your line of water so it cannot freeze up, well worth the investment of $6

I noticed one if my heads leaking continuously after use, this fixed the issue! Great product !
