I read some of the negative reviews about it's small sized. Great, that's exactly what I was looking for. Small mat for my limited counter space. Does the job I need it to!

This espresso tamping mat does its job and does it well for the price! The product photos in the description made it look gray or gray greenish colored, so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to find out is actually black. All I really wanted was something to protect my countertop from being hit with the portafilter when I bump the grinds down. This does a great job and also makes the process quieter. If there is any drawback it would be that the mat needs to be cleaned after every use because of the little nubs holding the grinds. It seems like everything used to make espresso needs cleaned nearly every use also so it’s no big deal.

Love this mat it works really good. It’s a great place to do Tampa. If you have a coffee lover in your house, you want a good place to be perfect.

If you are looking for a very small Matt this is the one for you. It has a nice edge to it and looks good. The picture shows it kind of a grey black. It's Not... it's pure black. I was hoping it would be large enough for me to put my tools on it, but not really. I have my WDOT on it and my tamper. That's all there is room for. I'll keep it since the price was excellent. If you're looking for a very small Matt this is the one you need. If you want something you can put your tools on this is not it.

Easy to clean , just run a water . A perfect size mat , to catch coffee grounds and protect your portafilter , thumper etc as well as your counter from scratches.

I use it regularly to make lattes and espressos on my new espresso machine when I need to tamp my grounds and apply pressure. I am a newbie with all of these accessories, but I use it against my quartz countertop and the lip that hangs over the edge grips the counter to keep the mat in place. Love it!

Me encantó, está super grueso, buena calidad y además de que cumple su función, se ve genial. Llegó dos días antes de lo esperado. Sólo una pequeña aclaración: únicamente cumple su función si la esquina de la superficie en la que lo pondrás es cuadrada (ángulo de 90°) no sirve en fórmica redonda, por ejemplo.

The mat was packed in a box and a ziplock bag so it arrived perfect. Just plopped it down on the edge of my kitchen counter and it does not slip around at all. The silicon feels thick and of good quality and definitely insulates the counter from heat. It fits my 51mm tamper easily and makes it easier to use more force to tamp with the portafilter. Since it's silicon it is also easy to wash off any loose coffee grounds or spills. Personally, it is great for the price and functions well as a mat can.

Sticks well to the counter and helps catch those random coffee grinds. Does what I need, no complaints. Also it is black like in the description and not dark grey like in the picture.
