Much easier than a typical combo lock. I had no problem setting this lock.

I’ve encountered one of these locks in the wild and admired it’s durability. Can’t make any word you want and I can’t stand for this type of censorship. You bet I didn’t want ‘FUNK’ as my combination but here we are. Thanks Karen.

The bottom part of the lock just came apart and broke. This is poorly made.

This is actually more sturdy & a nicer finish than I was expecting.It comes with a list of suggested 4 letter words because not every letter is on a dial, and also not all the dials have the same letters.The shackle is Ø6mm, which is slightly hard to find. For reference, the size is larger than a standard luggage lock and smaller than a standard round-dial locker lock.

This was purchased as a replacement for a similar communal lock, so that the same combo could be used without disruption to all the users. The original lock was difficult to use- the letters hand to be aligned exactly just so, otherwise it wouldn't open. Then it broke and I purchased this replacement, which has the same problem with the touchy alignment issue, and then it broke after a few weeks. I would go with another lock if you had a choice.

This lock works as expected. However, whoever chose the letters could have picked them more thoughtfully. I had another lock of this type which had common first letters in the first letter slot, a lot of vowels in the second slot, etc. so that you could make many different common words. It was hard to find words to make with this set. How many 4-letter words do you know that end in "X", for example, or whose second letter is "Y". Why not put common vowels instead?

I purchased this for my son's locker at middle school. This lock is much easier for him to manipulate than the typical dial-type combination lock. I have no doubt he will have no problem getting in and out of his locker between classes and not be late to class. The lock itself does have a good weight to it. It was reasonably simple to set his preferred combo word.Will purchase again for my younger son when he will have the same needs.

This is a great little lock. You can use a variety of words and it slides very easy open and closed. It does have a flaw, because it only opens a tiny fraction of an inch, when you take it off a gym locker, it can very very easily slide into the change combo position. So you see where that could be bad.

I bought this lock for escape room style scavenger hunts my wife and I make for each other. For this purpose it's great. If you're looking for a sturdy lock for the gym don't bother. It's very easy to break into.

Always been a fan of alpha character locks and this one is first class.Slightly larger than other locks on the market but well built and extremely solid

Best word lock ever. Been using this for over 5 years. I had bought one from Canadian Tire, was using if at the gym, and my friend the gym manager there cutted it by accident. Went back to Canadian Tire to get a new one, but they were discontinued. Found one on Amazon, it was abit more expensive but it's worth it. Easy to use and change your secret word.
