These roaster pans have been a familiar item around my family gatherings since I was old enough to remember. Perhaps they are lighter weight than years ago but this appears to be good quality although lighter than what I remember them to be.Something of concern to me is reviews which state there has been rusting at the chips and even in areas not chipped. I am a bit confused as to how this roaster can chip, but something to keep in mind. Making sure the roaster is completely and thoroughly dry after each washing might help to prevent rust. I will watch for this problem, however.I purchased this roaster because, even though I may only use it twice a year, the purchase price sold me as it will not be necessary to purchase a disposable aluminum roaster pan every time I need one. I purchased this last year and it sure beats trying to stick roasting forks at both ends to lift out the turkey especially if the turkey is so tender it wants to fall apart. Had that happen, made a royal mess and burnt my hand when it plopped out and sloshed turkey juice all over the place. I do not know if it is acceptable to give the product description on this review, but you can search for it pretty easily.

This pot has been used for everything you can roast in an oven--meats, vegetables, and combos of all kinds. When your winter essentially lasts 6 months of year, like it does in Western New York, roasts are a way of life... and secondary heating for your house. I was concerned before buying this by its lack of roasting rack to lift the food off the pan, but as long as you maintain a thin layer of moisture (water, cooking stock, etc.) on the bottom, you should have no troubles. Even when I have run out of water and not noticed, the food was not overly difficult to get off and cleanup was still a breeze. I'm pretty sure that you can separately buy an oval rack to fit inside the pan for cheap if you really want, but I have never found it necessary. The pan is sturdy but VERY lightweight, which was a great surprise for my tendonitis. When flipped upside down and placed on top of the pan, the lid sits snug and flat for more compact storage.

It's the pan you see pictures about on Facebook and the like asking if any one"remembers" them.For years before disposable aluminum and other material that was made the kewl "in things" for the conservationists and save our planet folks who found ( in private ) those disposables more convenient not once crying FOUL as they baked their FOWL in an irreclaimable resource. But WAIT: They didn't have to wash a baking pot.You will find this is one of the safest pans to roast your turkey, chicken, Cornish hens or the like to perfection. Despite they have no dangerous artificial non-stick surface, their makeup do as good a job or better when it comes time to clean. Go to youtube and search for "cooking with Granite Ware and see how many professional chefs find this pan the most suitable for their gourmet perfections.Highly recommended.

A great buy sturdy and can hold most meats for roasting and no real problems with cleaning no stick and the style is amazing that color set looks great as well as using it for vegetables or meat easy to use for any type of meals very versatile

Good quality and perfect size. I took off a star for the big sticker and tape that were so difficult to remove.

I purchased this product a year ago based on other reviews and I am not disappointed at all. I was a bit worried at the light weight and what felt like thin material, but don't let that fool you. I have done more than one turkey with this, never had to take off the cover, it cooked it really quickly, browned while covered and its tender and juicy. The price was good too. I was really impressed that my turkey had finished so quickly. I would recommend it.I am only sorry that it did not come with its own wire rack. Haven't tried any other food in it, but I certainly will sometime soon.Some advice, don't leave the turkey as long as the instructions on the turkey package says, it cooks alot quicker, and stick with the 300-325 temp.I am about to order a smaller size.
