Beautiful colors on the vintage rose. Feels very sturdy and well made. Haven’t used it in the rain yet but did try the auto open/close several times. Opens/closes smoothly. Handle has a nice feel to it and the canopy is large for 1 person. What is very disappointing is I doubt it is manufactured in Canada. No where on the beautiful gift box, the umbrella, nor the directions does it say “Made in…”. That is suspiciously absent. It does say “Designed in Canada”. Products that say “Designed in” are typically manufactured in China - a country I’m trying not to buy from. Feels a bit deceptive!

I ended up returning this umbrella. I expected something a bit more elegant, more intensely colored, more specially finished. Instead I received a pretty umbrella, of ordinary dimension and finish. I have nicer ones from Macy's at lower prices. I don't need a presentation box. I did find the carry strap a nice idea , but passed on it for the price. I have given it four stars for sturdiness but since I didn't use it, I am only guessing since it seemed to be of sound materials and construction. It would be OK for a parasol, but there are better choices for that specifically designed for sun protection.

This is a great umbrella! I have bought 3 different styles from this store and given them as gifts..kept one for myself! Very durable and the designs are beautiful.
