Weems and Plath Endurance II 105 Quartz Clock

Only put it up on our 34 Tollycraft Sundeck a week ago, but looks very smart. Appears well built, will see how well it keeps time! We are pleased so far. Would love to be asked our opinion in a year, as that is the true test.

I have had two of these clocks. Weems and Plath fixed one for free some time ago when the movement failed. But this time with another one, they claim the movement failed because of battery leakage. There was relatively new battery in it when it stopped working and yet they still are charging me $60 to replace it. Frankly it is fraud to claim you will guarantee the movement when you refuse to replace it when it fails. The movement is a cheap quartz clock movement so this is really a scam. Not sure what happened at Weems and Plath--they might have been bought by some other company.

Bought this clock hoping to use the guts in a brass Weems & Plath clock we already have but which had stopped working. New guts did not fit old clock. So using new clock although not as nice as old brass clock—new clock is plastic & numbers are smaller & not as bold.

You get what you pay for and Weems and Plath are high quality. I had the same one in gold tone on my sailboat for 20 years. Kept perfect time. I expect to have this one for the next 20 years and expect it to work perfectly as the last one did. Expensive...yup. Worth it...yup.

A handsome little clock. I'm using it in my bathroom, where it is exposed to moisture like being on a boat. It’s screwed to the wall and I love the way the front face swings out for adjustment and battery replacement.

Much smaller then expected. I had also expected for the price the clock to be of higher quality material, while the exterior would make you think this is a really well built clock the internals seem to be just typical cheaply constructed workings. Defiantly not worth the price. You got me this time- defiantly not again.

The case is excellent. The guts of the clock are typical wall clock, dime a dozen, units. Mine ran the battery down quickly and frequently loses time. Not acceptable for use on a working boat.
