Is this the authentic Ag+ Ionic Silver cartridge?

The first one we received looked identical to our original, the second one we ordered looked like it was refilled.

I need the cap which attaches to the replaced filters. i believe i misplaced mine on the u200 unit. i this available as a spare part?

I would guess you would have to check with the manufacturer. I bought the filter only.

Does this fit Air O Swiss humidifer 7135?

The package says "Demineralization Cartridge for all AIR-O-SWISS Ultra-sonic Humidifiers". It also shows a list with pictures for the humidifiers showing AOS 7131, AOS 7133, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7145, AOS 7147, AOS U600/AOS U650

How often do I have to buy a new cartridge?

Depends on how often you use the humidifier. I use mine daily, so I change the cartridge every 4-6 weeks.
