The potter's challenge Hardcover – January 1, 1975

This book has about 30 pages of writing by Leach explaining his philosophy. Approximately 80 more pages are devoted to descriptions and illustrations of pots ("Exemplary Pots") from early history up to Leach's present day. As one who greatly appreciates Leach and Hamada I found this little book fascinating. Great addition to any collection of books on ceramics. All the illustrations are in black and white.

Leach and Hamada, important philosophy on craftsmanship and art making...lyrical. I used to read it to adult students.
