Schlunder Liqueur Cake - Orange Liqueur (14 ounce)

The cake flavor is amazing. However the product was over priced by the vendor. This cake are sold in Germany for a dollar or you can find them in Aldis for about 4 dollars. The vendor send a 17 dollars cake in a bubble wrap envelop. The picture shows the conditions i got it. The cake was smashed on one side.

I'm just going to make this short and sweet, the cake is very good. It's super moist and has a lovely orange flavor with tiny chunks of orange in it. I probably wouldn't give as a gift only because the box arrived with one side crushed in a bit but my husband and I don't care about that as long as the cake isn't damaged. I do think the price is a little high but this is meant to be a treat for every now and again so who cares, spend the $16 and enjoy life lol.

Showed up, not packaged properly. Cake was dry and hard as a rock. How did it taste ? Like cardboard with a hint of orange. DIY with a store bought poundcake and a bottle of Grand Marinier...

I got this for my Aunt who is German. It is now how hard for her to get out at 88yr old and find food that reminds her of home. Amazon has allowed me so send her treats that remind her of when she was growing up.

I enjoyed this cappuccino liqueur cake. It does have a nice flavor but I would like it better if the flavor were a bit stronger. It’s also a little small for the price, in my opinion. I think they would probably freeze well and then thaw quickly to serve to unexpected guests.

Yummy stuff! Great flavor!! If I could have that on a daily basis I’d be so happy! But I also wish it was less expensive! But worth the $$ !!

I gave this to a sweet friend of mine who hails from Germany. She and I had a chance to share some together. She said the cake was good and up to the standards she had come to expect from the company that made it.
