I used this to install a modern 2 post Fender bridge. There was approx 1.5mm of the rout showing in front of the part of the bridge that's cut back, where the bar screws in. Not a huge deal to fix but not acceptable or excusable.

I wanted to fit a vintage six-screw strat bridge and after looking at paper template pdf files on line realized that I would probably muck it up severely left to my own devices. I ordered these templates (front and rear cavity router and screw placement) and was immediately pleased by the weight, solidity and accuracy of the pieces when viewed with my paper templates. These made the drilling of the six mounting screws for the bridge totally painless --and accurate! Without accuracy, the bridge will not operate as intended. Side note: do indeed use a drill press for the best results. I did and all is perfect!!! I highly recommend these templates and this seller.
