We use this lamp on the puzzle table. It’s convenient that it is cordless and chargeable. It can be adjusted to tilt sideways and up and down. The brightness can also be adjusted easily. Great quality and has a sleek, modern look to it.

This is a wonderful light! We already had an Ott light and loved the brightness as well as the flexible neck on our older desk light. This one has an added benefit of being able to unplug it and move it to where it is being used (on the floor for sorting, closer to the table one is putting a puzzle together on, etc). We also bought one for a grandaughter’s homework desk. She exclaimed, “Mimi and Pop went all out for this! It is really a super good light! “

Update: 11.29.2024: bought in late 2020. Currently still using this light, still in great condition, no battery issues noted so far. Granted, we’ve used it rather sparingly, but it’s great when we need it! We’re about to buy another one for our mother who enjoys coloring to pass the time, but who also has eye challenges, and we think it would be helpful to her in any power outages. Great for puzzles and playing games in a space that’s not lit well to begin with (or when my eyes are already strained for the day), especially during a power outage when there’s not much else to do. Update 12.13.2021: still loving this lamp and updating to note that when the power goes out, this lamp stays on! I hadn’t thought about it before our power went out one evening and it was real nice to have a light stay on! It has also been handy to unplug and move to another location temporarily. I should probably leave it unplugged more often to maintain the battery life better though; or plug it into a timer. Original review: This daylight lamp provides great lighting for a specific area, like a desk or an end table next to a reading chair. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and appearance of the lamp itself. Somehow I didn’t anticipate it being this nice. It is possible to use it cord free for a period of time, but I’m not using that feature for this particular one and don’t plan to. Therefore, I kinda wish I could remove the battery so it wouldn’t be entirely wasted. Still, it’s a potentially great feature for some people! Overall I’m very pleased with this lamp. It’s smaller than what I was using, much prettier, and provides plenty of light while I work on my laptop or read.

I own 2 of these cuties. They're useful in a number of places: desk, sewing table , reading area, closet, etc. I've even used one of them as a flashlight in a pinch, hunting for an earring under a bed. They give off a full spectrum light--which is useful in a closet when choosing colors. I'd have given 5 stars except that the lamps tend to fall over easily unless they're bent properly, and the switch is super sensitive which means it can be left on inadvertently. One of my two lamps seems to need recharging more frequently than the other. All in all a very good buy

This is a great little desklamp which is very useful when you have multiple places you need to have light. OttLite has an excellent reputation and this lamp has lived up to it so far. I chose this model because it is rechargeable and easily portable and so far I am very happy with it. it is easy to accidently turn it on when moving it, but it is just as easy to turn it off again, so that does not bother me.

Like all OttLite products, the light is PHENOMENAL for reading, crafts, desk work, etc. However the battery life on this model is sub-standard: only 3 two-hour uses and it must be recharged. And it is not a fast recharge time. The styling, design, and size is perfect for my desk and does not interfere with my keyboard or screen. So I will keep this light and enjoy its benefits, while settling for the inadequate battery life. Not a problem on my desk to keep it plugged in all the time.

My grandmother uses this light when she works her jigsaw puzzles. It is easy to move, compact, and puts out plenty of light. It is very easy to adjust the brightness (just touch) and the charge last quite a while.

Purchased this light during Prime Days and felt confident it was the light I needed after seeing it and trying it out at a store. Received the light last night and noticed it wasn't charged right out the box so I excitedly plugged it up thinking in about 30 min it would have enough of a charge to let me try it in my space. 30 min later it still wasn't charged, so I left it on overnight. Woke up this morning and it STILL wasn't working, so I put it in another wall outlet for an hour. An hour later it STILL wasn't working. Brought it into my office and unplugged an item that was currently charging with a wall charger (so I knew for a fact the outlet was working) and plugged up the OTT light. I saw the red light come on letting me know it was charging, but then 10 min later when I checked on it the green light was on. Unfortunately, the light would STILL not come on with the touch button even though the green light said it was fully charged. Searched online for answers to see if there was something I was missing, but from the directions in the box and resources I found online this SHOULD be a plug and play light. I saw another person on here in the reviews said they received a lemon of a light as well. For something that was on the pricey side of desk lights, this is pretty disappointing for a reputable company. I'm returning my light today! To make matters worse, I contacted customer service to submit a return or replacement. I was only given the option to make a return. I go to re-purchased the item hoping I won’t get another dead only to be charged the regular price. I reached out to customer service again And explain that I am now being asked to purchase the item at a higher price and they offer me a five dollar certificate. I told them that is unacceptable because that is still more than the refund. I’m receiving for returning the item and what I initially paid when I purchased this during prime days so then they come back with well will $15 work well yes but why didn’t you just give that to me upfront instead of playing these games like let’s offer this much and see if they take that and then let’s offer another amount. That’s not good customer service Amazon!

I've been using ott lights since the mid 1990's and my old one wore out. I needed a new one.You can't beat these for natural light, especislly in the winter time.

Why can't the touch switch be locked?? It's very sensitive and would be switched on and off accidentally all the time, which is annoying!!
