Lots of drills with good explanations. 1st year coaching girls 12U Softball

This book has a plethora of information! I am a newer high school coach and was looking for a resource that would help me be the most effective coach for my team. I am halfway through the book and am so excited about the wealth of information available. Aside from explicit information and tons of drills, there are many tables and colorful pictures to help understand the ins and outs of the game. I would highly recommend this book to beginners and seasoned softball coaches.

This book is unreal in the details that are given for every aspect of the game. It breaks down every position and every situation and makes them easy to understand. The drills and descriptions (along with all of the great pictures) make this a priceless coaches aid.

After purchasing a few books on the subject, this is the book I was looking for. It does a good job of covering everything and presents the information in a useful way. I wish I found it sooner.

Full of useful information and drills

Tons of information it can be overwhelming. Wish they had practice plans included to tie it all together. Good for the price.

After having read this thru, I am more than happy with the purchase. Tons of useful and timeless information in here. Doesn't just talk about specific details, talks about coaching strategy and philosophies.

Zero listing of how to execute any of the variety of pitches. Seems like the kind of thing that should be in the pitching chapter (yes, one!). Also, as a batter, one should know how to pick up different pitches being thrown. Very disappointing
