Men's 0420 Pro Diver Automatic Black Dial Titanium Watch

People often bash Invicta, not knowing that some of the Invicta watch lines are extraordinary, in particular the Pro-Diver Grand Diver series. This one is a Pro-Diver, not a Grand Diver. This so-called dive watch is rated at 200 meters. Even if, by chance, it is over-rated, it will at least pass the 100 meter test, which means it can swim and snorkel without worry. Recommendation: Don't take it diving to save your life. Buy a thousand dollar watch and have a diving computer with you. This model does have a screw-down crown. If you have silicon grease, then take a toothpick and coat the threads. Do this for every watch with a screw-down crown. If you have the tools, then remove the case-back and grease those threads as well. This model is made of titanium, both the case and half the bracelet parts. It weighs 120 grams including the bracelet, which makes it one of the lightest metal-case watches in my collection. It is positively my lightest watch with a metal bracelet. The 20mm lug width means I can change the bracelet to almost anything that I want. The case is 14.3mm thick. When I first received it, the bezel was too stiff to turn easily. I put a piece of silicon into the palm of my hand and rotated the bezel about a hundred times. It softened considerably and now turns like silk. The registration on the hands and bezel are spot on. Registration has to do with the accuracy of the marker placements on the dial and bezel. I calibrate all of my automatics when I receive them. Over the course of a week, I check the time against an atomic source, two or three times a day. I then plot the data onto a spreadsheet. The Seiko NH35 movement in this model performs as well as other Seikos movement watches that I have at several times the price. With the Seiko motor, my Invicta runs a little over six seconds a day. This is not only acceptable, it is spectacular for a hundred-dollar automatic watch. It hacks, hand-winds, and self-winds. The luminosity is not great. When hit with a bright light, it illuminates evenly and is readable for about three or four hours in the dark. After that, the faint glow is not bright enough for my eyes. The bezel is not illuminated except for the pip. If that is a deal-breaker for you, then you will miss out on the other great qualities of this wrist watch. The watch is good looking with contrasting grey, black and chrome. It can be worn with jeans as well as a tuxedo. It weighs very little, can go swimming, and keeps time like a Seiko. Because it is not expensive, it can be worn everyday without worrying about scratches. (I have scuffed the bracelet, but not the crystal). It is durable enough to bring on vacation because it can go swimming. And nobody is going to rob you for your Invicta.

I had been looking for a titanium automatic divers watch for some time. As the owner of several Omega watches, naturally I looked at the Seamaster, but the price was a bit out of my reach. I happened upon this Invicta watch purely by chance during an Amazon search, and so I figured I'd take a chance on it. What the heck....with a Father's day discount code, it came to under $90! How could I lose? When it arrived it came well packaged in the usual Invicta yellow box. It's very much a copy of the Submariner, right down to the magnifier over the date. It's all titanium construction means that it is a VERY light watch. It's nearly as light as a similar sized resin case watch. The display back was a nice touch, and showed off the Seiko NH35A movement. After sizing the titanium bracelet, I began to use it as my daily wear watch. I realize the NH35 is no chronometer, but a check against an atomic clock showed a variance of only +2 seconds after 3 days of not so gentle wear. Very surprising. I did realize after a while that if I allowed it to become a bit run down, it began to lose time, but never more than a few seconds a day. All in all, it was an awesome value for the money. Yes I realize it's no Omega, nor did I expect it to be for the price. It's attractive, light on the wrist, comfortable to wear, durable (so far) and keeps very good time, and does it all for an affordable price. What more could you want?

Update 11/1/2021. It's 9 years now that I have had this Invite. i did order a new Titanium band from Invicta and that was $65. The watch itself is still going strong. The bezel is nearly flawless after all these years. This has been the most rugged and wonderful watch. Very light weight and does not feel cheap at all. So far it is keeping time to within a few seconds every third day. No problems with the bezel, turns just fine. Very happy with the price point and Invicta. Update - 12/23/14. I have had this watch for two years now. It still looks very good. There is not one scratch on the crystal. Not even a mark. I am very hard on my watches. I wear them until they are literally worn out. I wear them while doing things that are damaging to the watch face, bracelet and tend to get them very dirty too. This Invicta has held up better than other watches that I have destroyed in a two year period. Very happy with the product. I would recommend Invicta and would most certainly buy their watches again. Update - 1/3/17. I have had this watch for four years now. The outer rotating bezel numbers are starting wear off in the area that my sleeve touches the watch. The crystal watch face now has one very tiny scratch. Amazing that a non-sapphire watch face has held up this well. It still keeps very good time. Wear it every day and have yet to have to wind it manually, daily wear keeps it "wound". All in all a very good watch that I would not hesitate recommending. Bumped it to 5 stars too. Update - 2/19/18. Year five with this watch. Still going strong. A little more fading on the outer rotating bezel. Still NOT ONE scratch on the watch face. If this watch is still available I would not hesitate to order another.

I wanted a watch that was sturdy enough to be on (and in) the water every day, but still look good enough to wear to dinner on the boat ride home. So far this watch hasn't disappointed me. I went with this model because of the weight, or lack thereof, due to the titanium band. Straight out of the box, I adjusted the time and headed to the Abacos where I snorkeled and free dove with it on for 7 days straight, and then back to SWFL for another 7 days of fishing and swimming. I have only used it snorkeling and free diving (no scuba) and no deeper than 30', but no issues with water ingress. Time is accurate and hands are clearly readable in the light. We usually stop for dinner at nicer restaurants on our boat ride home and this watch looks great in any setting. My only minor complaint is the luminescence of the tritnite starts off strong but then dims relatively quickly over 1-2 hours, but still glows dimly for about 5 hours. For a good-looking, Titanium watch that holds up to salt water and abuse at this price point you cant go wrong. Update: 6 months- I just realized I never hit submit, so now it is 6 months later and I am still loving this watch. I wear it every day and everywhere, boating, fishing, snorkeling, at the beach doing yard work, to restaurants and everywhere I go. I am amazed at the hardness of the crystal, I do not know how it isn't scratched. The titanium links still look great, although the stainless on the link is showing the abuse it has taken. I would HIGHLY recommend this watch to anyone looking for a watch that can take abuse and still look great as you pull the boat up to a waterside restaurant in Naples. Why only 4 stars? I cant read it in the dark after 15 mins. That is this watch's only flaw. Other than that it is flawless.

This Invicta dive watch is just about as good as the Seiko dive watches I have that cost three or four times as much. It arrived in pristine condition. The lightweight titanium case and band feel and look great on my wrist. The watch is constructed with good attention to detail. With inexpensive watches, I can usually feel a lot of backlash (free play) when adjusting the time with the stem pulled out to the time-setting position. Not with this watch though, turning the stem is as precise and smooth as it should be. The crown is large and wide so turning it is easy on the fingertips. The crown screws smoothly onto the case because the threads are cut well. The Japanese movement inside hand winds, hacks (stops the watch from running to match time precisely), and keeps accurate time for a mechanical watch. Laser etching on the back looks good and is easy to read. The bezel was initially a little stiff to turn but now turns great after some use. This watch is a bargain for the cost, almost too good to be true.

I like it. I think Titanium is cool. This one is so accurate but luck of the draw has more to do with it than being this model. I am so out of fashion but I hear that larger watches are in. This is a little larger than a lot of divers that run about 40mm. This is 45mm. I do not have small wrists but I also don't have huge ones. Likely just a little larger than average. Timex and other store brands off the shelf are a little tight. Well I think this looks good on my wrist. I don't think it overwhelms so it actually looks very masculine. I think it would look good on most guys. I posted some pictures, two of this and one of a 40mm diver. Now I want to share some info because I think it might natter to some. I still give it 5 stars because this watch is what it is not what I consider a flaw. Titanium is much lighter than Steel. Just on feel alone I would say half the weight of my 40mm diver. Some might like, I mean as big as it is it is very light. Funny how I sometimes connect weight with quality and watch weight has never been so great as to cause me any issue. I know why it is light but some might like some maybe not. OK and maybe the biggest point. Once again not a flaw but a reality of titanium. It is softer than Steel. It scratches more. I am gental on my watches but I have scuffs. Yea I called them scuffs because not really scratches. Fatter and not going through the surface more like rubs. Most of mine are by the clasp like from opening and closing or resting on surfaces maybe arm of a chair. So it will scratch easily, keeping it flawless will be much harder than Steel. To some that might not matter. I think it looks good both for size and the titanium. Pictures show 45mm vs 40mm

Great watch for the price. The plusses are light weight and price. The negatives are that the band can scratch easily and the timing is not accurate i.e., loses about 10 seconds a day. So if you're into accuracy get a quartz watch. The style is great except that the diameter is a smidge too large for me. My wrist is small to average size. For the price you can't beat it. Addendum, the crown doesn't function, so I sent it back to get it serviced under warranty. I had to pay for shipping around $35. Too bad they only have one service center in Florida. I'll keep you informed about their service. It may take up to 2 months. Some of the people in their call center were apathetic and one was very helpful. An update one month later. They sent it overseas and it'll take another 3 months for it to be done. Now I find that unacceptable. I'm living with a watch from Target for $17. I think they should reimburse me for that at least. ***two years later***, I've actually learned to like this watch, it scratches like hell but functions well, still loses 10 seconds a day but is consistent so I increased the star rating from one to three. If it wasn't for the warranty service I would have given this watch four stars. Take care

If you don't have much money to spend, but you want the biggest bang for your buck. As far as the dive watch goes. You need to go with this titanium Invicta dive watch. It's made of solid titanium. Which is quite expensive to manufacture and really makes the watch light and also is much more suitable for diving. Stainless steel is no match for titanium's corrosion resistant qualities. The Seiko NH35 movement inside this watch happens to be extraordinarily accurate. I'm getting plus three to four seconds a day. As awesome as this watch is. You do get what you pay for to a certain extent. The bezel is not ceramic and the clicking doesn't sound good. The dial is not very pretty and the loom isn't the best. It's the little tiny things you see in the quality. Watch that you just will not get in this watch. However, just because this watch is cheap does not mean it's a cheap or bad watch. There is not a better value. Watch you can get from $90. It's 200 m water resistant and comes with the legendary Seiko NH35 movement. And lastly, it's made out of solid titanium!

Muy buen reloj por el precio que lo encontré rebajado, movimiento automático seiko, cristal mineral delantero y trasero, hecho todo en titanio, el estilo diver muy clásico, todo genial. El único detalle es que los 45 mm que mide si son algo grandes para mí muñeca, este reloj está diseñado para muñecas medianas a grandes, si eres de muñeca pequeña debes considerar primero el tamaño si no estas acostumbrado a este tipo de tamaños de reloj, por todo lo demás es un reloj genial que no desepciona, relación calidad-precio de lo mejor que podrás encontrar.

I own many watches, Tissots and Citizens, All my Tissots are high end with Automatic movement and the Citizens are ECO Drive and Atomic. I also own a large collection of Casio G-Shock all Solar powered. I took a decision never to own a battery operated watch that needs replacement. I don't want to open any of my watches if I don't have to. I wear the Tissots and Citizens at work (Business Casual) and the Casios on the weekends. I started to shift from Casios with their military look and was looking for a metal bracelet watch for the weekend. Came across Invicta and didn't know much about it. I watched and read many reviews on line and decided to buy the Pro Diver Titanium. The Delivery was very fast and was in perfect brand new condition as advertised. I was shocked with how well made this watch is. It looked great!!. Light weight because of the Titanium bracelet. The watch looks way more expensive that the price I paid for it. It is fairly large and looked great on my medium size rest. I adjusted the time based on my Atomic Citizen and I'm glad to say that it gained a few seconds only in one week! This is excellent for an automatic watch and on par with my other high end Tissots. It has a Japanese made movement that is manufactured by Seiko. I'm so impressed with Invicta and seriously considering buying another one with a stainless steel bracelet this time. I started selling most of my Casios and Invicta is going to be my new weekend watches. I highly recommend this watch, it has an excellent value and you are getting a lot of watch for your money.

Je possède deux autres Invicta Pro Diver, une 40mm automatique, et une 43mm à quartz, toutes deux en acier. Cette 0420 en titane possède une finition nettement supérieure. Comme pour les autres références achetées ici que j'ai également évalué (23678 & 22020) je maintiens que ces montre présentent suffisamment d'éléments qui diffèrent de leur inspiration pour ne pas plonger la tête la première dans la case "hommage". Dans le cas de la 0420, il y a pour commencer le diamètre, 45mm à la lunette. Présence et lisibilité bien supérieures à une Submariner de 40mm. L'intégralité du boitier est en titane sablé, un matériau que la marque à la couronne n'a jamais proposé sur sa plongeuse. Certains éléments, tels que la couronne et la lunette, ont volontairement été exécutés en acier poli. Le contraste avec le titane est saisissant et réussi. La lunette, avec son insert en aluminium brillant noir, est également propre à ce modèle. Le fond de boite est transparent, laissant apercevoir le NH35A, sur lequel je reviendrai plus bas. Une véritable plongeuse 200M avec un fond transparent, ça n'est pas commun. Je n'ai pas eu la fameuse masse oscillante jaune, simplement un élément brossé engravé "TMI" "NH35A" "TWENTY-FOUR JEWELS". Je préfère, car je trouve que cela colle davantage à l'esprit toolwatch monochrome de cette 0420 qu'un rotor jaune pétant. Le bracelet est médiocre, bien que 100% titane. Les mid-links brillants ne sont pas en titane poli, c'est simplement de la peinture chrome sur le même titane sablé et ça jure énormément. J'ai immédiatement déposé ce bracelet pas à la hauteur de la montre pour un élément en silicone supérieur en confort & finition. Cette Pro Diver 0420 est l'une des rares montres qui a plus d'allure sans son bracelet en métal d'origine. L'utilisation de la lunette est facile et agréable, avec un clic satisfaisant et aucun défaut d'alignement. Sur mes autres Pro Diver en acier, il fallait se munir de WD40 pour espérer faire tourner la chose. Je ne sait pas si j'ai eu de la chance ou si Invicta a véritablement amélioré cet élément pour ce modèle. Là où j'ai eu de la chance, en revanche, c'est au niveau du mouvement. Le 4R35,ou NH35 quand vendu à et utilisé par d’autres marques que Seiko (comme ici) est un mouvement fiable, sorti par Seiko en 2011. Bien qu’annoncé par seiko avec une dérive monstrueuse de 45 secondes par jour, il n’en est rien. La plupart des 4R35 emboités se révèlent tout aussi précis (et plus fiables) qu’un 2824/SW200/9015. Ma 0420 fut réglée le 03/05/25 à 12h20, et au moment ou j’écris ces lignes le 07/05/25 à 18h42, la montre n’avance que de 2 malheureuses secondes. C’est tout simplement hallucinant et cela pulvérise tous les standards suisses chronométriques (COSC, METAS, SUPERLATIVE…) en matière de précision y compris celui utilisé par la marque à la couronne (-2/+2 secondes par jour). En revanche, il ne s’agit ici que de chance pure et il n’y a aucune garantie que votre 0420 aura un 4R35 aussi précis. Il faut donc le savoir avant d’acheter. Je recommande donc cette montre, avec un bon bracelet en silicone ou FKM. C’est une toolwatch fiable, esthétique, précise (dans mon cas) et polyvalente.

Non è tra i modelli più riusciti dal punto di vista estetico, è un po' sproporzionato: la ghiera è grande rispetto al quadrante, a mio parere. Però il tutto è compensato ampiamente dal fatto di avere un orologio completamente in titanio ad un prezzo basico! Leggero, anallergico (la lega di titanio non contiene né cromo né nickel), di un bel colore! A proposito del colore, noterete che si presenta di un grigio un po' fosco, tendente allo scuro (nelle parti satinate): io l'ho lavato con acqua e abbondante sapone di marsiglia per due o tre volte (dopo essermi assicurato di avere chiuso bene la corona!).... Ebbene, un cambiamento impressionante! come avere un altro orologio. Col tempo scurirà di nuovo....? Vedremo! p.s. Dimenticavo: il mio fa +6 secondi al giorno... Non male! P.s. Ne ho preso un altro. Era in offerta su Amazon Warehouse: 79 euro, perche' ha un piccolo graffio sul lato posteriore della cassa.... Felice di averlo acquistato. Per 79 euro non si riesce nemmeno ad acquistare un cinturino in titanio...........
