LEKI Unisex – Adult's Micro Pro Trail Running Poles

These poles are amazing. I use them on ultra marathons. They are extremely light, very easy to use and very efficient. They fold/unfold in seconds (literally) and the straps are easy to adapt to any hand size and provide a very efficient power transfer. I ve used them on races ranging from 25 to 70 miles in the mountain. I actually bought another pair for my father too. They are a bit expensive but worth the money.

Sweet sticks...balanced, firm and light. Excellent for quick pace hiking or uphill trail runs. Love these guys.

Poles worked great for long trail run over 40 miles on very technical terrain.

These are the best. Lightweight and the glove feature is amazing!

The ease of folding and unfolding them

Poles with strap attachment are a system, and any system is only as good as its weakest link. In case of Mountain Trail Pro the weak link is the strap, or, more precisely, the strap size - if it does not fit, the poles are of no use. This is where the problem with Leki MTP surfaces: there is no mention anywhere on Leki website that the strap size depends on the size of the poles. Instead, there is a tiny icon on Amazon showing that poles sized 115sm and below come with strap seize S/M/L, while poles 120sm and above come with M/L/XL strap. But even Amazon's description is deceptive: it shows the MTP poles with rubber power grips included, whereas the version currently being sold comes with clear protective caps.I have raised the issue of strap sizing with Leki Corporate in Germany; hopefully, they will correct their website description soon. In the meantime, cost of a new strap that fits? GBP36.95. Cost of new rubber power grips? GBP9.95. You need to both be careful in your selection and understand what you are ordering. Typically, the retailer you bought the poles from can do a swap strap for you. If they cannot, you are either out of luck (ie have to pay full price of a replacement strap) or need to send the strap to the local Leki distributor for an exchange. In this case, distributor exchange policy may very.Leki is a premier running poles manufacturer and it is a pity, that they do not think through the system set-up details. For the MTP to work, Leki needs to either redesign the strap to fit all palm sizes, or to offer choice of a strap+pole sizing during the checkout, or to offer a free strap-swap.Now onto the poles themselves. They are foldable fixed length and deliver far less vibration vs. Leki adjustable length poles. The MTP show vibration still vs permanent fixed length poles. It is an acceptable trade-off for me for the sake of carrying convenience.MTP is also a "summer" pole given: a) an extended cork grip and b) shark strap attachment mechanism. "Unsealed" cork may absorb sweat, though for me it one of pole's best features. "Winter" equivalent would be Leki Micro RCM with thermal grip and skin strap.

Mit den Leki Faltstöcken habe ich vor allem einen starken Halt in anspruchsvollem Gelände, ihre Flexibilität beim Bergauf/-abgehen, die Stabilität auch bei massiver Belastung und nicht zuletzt durch ihr geringes Gewicht und kleines Packmaß überzeugen mich total. Damit sind die Stöcke absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die viel Wert auf wenig Platz und Gewicht und auf Topqualität sowie Stabilität bei ihren Stöcken legen. Die Faltstöcke haben die winterliche Wanktour perfekt überstanden. Meine Bedenken, dass ein Carbonstock bei so großer Belastung (80 Kilogramm Körpergewicht + 10 Kilogramm Ausrüstung) eher brechen würde als einer aus Alu, stellte sich bei den Leki Micro Vario Carbon als völlig unberechtigt heraus. Sie haben sich damit zum unverzichtbaren Begleiter auf meinen zukünftigen Touren etabliert! Um die Lebensdauer der Stöcke zu verlängern sind diese nach jeder Tour mit Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit nach Zerlegung in die einzelnen Rohre mittes einen trockenen Tuches zu reinigen, was überhaupt keinen zeitlichen Aufwand bedeutet.

Ya llevo unas cuantas salidas con ellos, en cuanto al peso son perfectos, en cuanto al sistema para montar y desmontar, genial, a nivel estetico que decir...me encantan. Otro datos, mido 1.62 m, pedí consejo y me dijeron que mejor 115 cm, correcto, es la medida que me va correcta. Ahora los peros, con el sudor se desprende un poco el caucho de la empuñadura, ya veré como soluciono este aspecto si pierde mucho caucho, y otro pero, el enganche de la dragonera a la empuñadura, con la presión de la fuerza ejercida en la subida, se queda un enganchada y puede costar sacarla, haciendo menos útil el sistema de enganche ultrarapido que tanto atrae de este guante dragonera. Yo, lo soluciono en parte, empujando un poco al hilo de enganche hacia arriba, para quitarle presión, y así sea mas fácil.

Mit diesen Trekkingstöcken bin ich nicht zufrieden. Bei dem Preis wäre es doch kulant gewesen diese Stöcke von der Größe her justierbar zu gestalten. War mit Leki eigentlich immer zufrieden aber diese Stöcke sind nicht Anwenderfreundlich da nur in einer Länge verfügbar. Leki produziert diese Stöcke als wie es keinen Unterschied zwischen bergauf-, und bergab geben würde.

Genial, para mi el mejor bastón para trail running, súper ligero y el agarre es perfecto con el sistema de la dragonera Leki, he mejorado muchísimo en la técnica de bastoneo en carrera.
