NOT nearly as PAINFUL as I was expecting!
The quick of it: This product is great and not nearly as painful as the reviews suggest. I was expecting like 6-7/10, really its like a 2 depending on the area. All people are different, but if you're on the fence don't let the hype scare you.I have dark course hair and pale skin. Which means, even when I shave the hair follicle is still visible, so I've been waxing my legs for about a year with hard wax beads or pre-made strips. To be fair, I'm not great at it, but the time spent is worth not having stubble the next day. I had to go over the same areas a few times, so the whole deal: Applying the wax, waiting for it to dry, ripping it off, repeat. It took me about an hour to finish a leg. Due to my pale skin, this would also leave red squares all over my legs, especially with the premade strips. I also have a really hard time waxing my armpits because I can't rip the wax off and stretch the skin at the same time, so I would either have to do small sections or get assistance. The last time I waxed, I was just over it, so I broke down and bought this AMAZING tool.I've done one leg, and decided to leave a review so other people know how friggin awesome it is. So the big question is the pain, I was expecting it to hurt a lot more. I was even really nervous to start and had to psych myself up. I did all the prep work, warm soak & exfoliated and got ready to bring the pain.My first thoughts after touching it to my ankle were '....that's it??...am I doing It wrong?....the hair is gone and not broken so...'It feels like what I would expect those painless removal stones to feel like. There is a quick sensation not even really a pinch. It is kind of a millisecond slight stinging sensation but that sounds more extreme then it is. Most areas on my leg were like a 1/10, with sensitive areas being like a 3/10 accompanied by almost a tickle afterward. It's enough to notice but not enough to care. The top of my feet and back of my knees seem to be the 'worst' but even they arent bad. It hurts less than plucking after a wax. The thighs not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I haven't used it on my armpits but they're still currently waxed. I didn't really get bumps after either except for on the area on top between my ankles and they're sparse.***Update*** I tried it without exfoliating and a hot soak and it hurt, like a lot. Way more than I was expecting after such a great first experience. So, worth noting - the prep makes a HUGE difference in the experience. It's totally worth it tho. Here's the PROS vs waxing & shaving:-Less expensive, 1 time purchase-Not nearly the mess of shaving or waxing (no hair in the drain, no wax to clean)-Area prep work is the same as waxing, without waiting for it to warm up-Time saving! (I'll update if needed but the hair shouldnt grow back as fast as shaving and the process takes me way less time than waxing)-PORTABLE (Imma keep this thing in my purse for those moments where I realized I missed my knees)-easier to reach the tops of back of my thighs than waxing-LESS PAINFUL (my skin isnt irritated and I didnt cut myself)-You can use it plugged in or off the charger.CONS-Not as fast as shaving in the moment (but its supposed to last longer so that may cancel out)-You cant use a moisturizing body wash (it wont grab the hairs)-It may be hard to get into certain areas (I haven't tried to do my bikini area yet, so I dont know but I could see that being a potential con)-The shin requires you to pull the skin to the side a bit so you have a flat surfaceOverall, if you're on the fence but scared of the pain, try it for yourself. Everyone is different but for me it hurt less than waxing. Also, I've read a lot of reviews of different products, this is the first Ive personally tried, but from what I've seen there's not a big difference in efficacy between a more affordable tool and a more expensive tool. At first I wanted to just invest the $100 for an expensive one, but this one works great! I'll update if the battery dies or it looses power. It came with a 1 year warranty in the box, it's not automatic you have to register for it within 1-2 days after purchase. But if this thing goes for over a year it will have paid for itself.

its ok
you really do get what you pay for.after about 5 uses it no longer works if its not plugged in. it also takes way too many passes to get all the hair and even then misses quite a few. at this point i use the shaver head more than the epilator head.good for travel and in a pinch but not great for constant use.

Worst epilator I've owned
This is my 3rd epilator in 20 yrs. The 1st I used for 10 yrs, till the motor gave out. The price of that brand went up considerably in that time so I tried an epilady. I still have it and use it over this new one. The only reason I bought this epilator was because the head on my epilady doesn't come off, it's very hard to clean and hairs get jammed in the gears. There are many reasons why I hate this epilator:1. It barely grabs any hairs on each pass so it takes longer to get an area done. You should hold an epilator at a 90 degree angle from the area you are working on. With this epilator at that angle it grabs nothing and at a 45 degree angle it grabs some. Also it doesn't pull the hairs out, it just breaks them. Breaking them is like shaving which is not what I'm after.2. Because you have to go over an area numerous times to remove all hairs, the exfoliating bar causes damage to the skin.3. The battery charged once and that was it. It only works when plugged in now. I bought a cordless for a reason.4. The shaving head is also lack luster. I tried it once. The trimmer section kept getting clogged, and I had to stop every few minutes to clear it before I could continue. The shaving part left stubble that made it look like I hadn't shaved in two days. The people that gave this epilator good reviews must not have owned others prior to this one.

Love love love!
I know this product comes with the shave and epilator options, but I bought it solely for the use of an epilator. I previously owned another epilator without a removable head, and it broke recently and had to buy a new one. I'm so glad I discovered this one, as it works very well (so much better than my other one), and it even hurts less than the other one! Easy cleaning, I love how it has 2-speed features, and not even super expensive. Great value for the price! :)

Worst Electric shaver ever
I usually don't write bad reviews but this product is so bad that I have to share my experience. First of all, it took way more than 24 hours to charge it for the first time and it was still not displaying a green light as it should have. I tried it with the plucking head on my armpits and it was a disaster, I could not remove the hair and I got rashes and bleeding because I was trying to find the right angle to use it. I've had electric shavers for over 10 years now and never experienced that. I tried again a second time on my legs to see if it was any better but same result. I would not recommend this product, seems nice on picture but totally inefficient.
