Rubio is Rubio. It's a top quality benchmark for wood finishes
If you are a Blacktail Studio follower, you know what you are buying. This stuff produces extremely hard-wearing protection layers on hardwoods. My home's stairs - after three years of hard, daily use - still look beautiful. The trick of the trade is to use TINY amount of it and work it well using a soft sponge pad (open or closed pores) on RO. Meticulous prep (sanding, water pop, blowing the dust, etc) is a key to achieve fantastic results.

Use on birch ply worktops in a camper van, spilt coffee etc doesn’t stain. Very good product just expensive!

Great wood-finish for chopping board.
Provides a great finish, used on chopping board and looks great even after 6+ months. Dries is around 24 hours. Easy to use, just make sure you read the label/ online guidance for splitting ratios. Slightly expensive, but great stuff!

Really pleased with the purchase…
Impressed with the coverage and the quality. I have to admit that I had to try at least 2 other bottles before finding the right colour. I was trying to match my old and used dining table with the newly purchased set of chairs. Removing the old varnish and then applying the stain and then redoing the varnish is not a simple job, especially if it’s a large item. However after restoring the table and matching it to the chairs, I feel really satisfied. I will definitely recommend this to others who is interested in DIY and knows what they’re doing.

Facile et magique
Très facile à appliquer et le résultat donne vie aux grains du bois de façon magique. L'odeur est même agréable. J'ai utilisé le gris cendre. C'est un peu dispendieux mais je recommande sincèrement Rubio

Hochpreisig, aber Bestnoten in Verarbeitung und Ergebnis
Die Anwendung ist lächerlich einfach und gut beschrieben. Habe bisher nur reinem gekochtem Leinöl, teilweise mit Tung-Öl gemischt, gearbeitet. Da muss man ständig aufpassen, dass das Holz beim Aushärten nicht schwitzt und die Einreibrichtung stimmt, damit es keine Schlieren gibt. Hier: Wild mit kleinem Tuch oder Spachtel verteilen, nochmal kurz kreuz und quer nachreiben. Holz ist sofort gesättigt, schwitzt nicht und zeigt keinerlei Schlieren. Habe sicherheitshalber natürlich dennoch in Faserrichtung nach dem ersten Einreiben und beim Abtrocknen des Überschusses 30min gearbeitet. Das war aber wie es aussah übertrieben. Stinkt auch nicht, keinerlei Lösungsmitteldämpfe. Ein Teufelszeug, was jedoch auch seinen Preis hat. Ich hatte die 130ml Packung und bei einem Schliff von 120-180 kommen die 5m² Ergiebigkeit locker hin (Walnussholz).
