Pure sesame - no funny aftertaste
If you're going to cook with sesame oil you have to have this one. I'd purchased a couple of easy-to-get supermarket brands and was give a bottle of Kadoya as a gift. And so I did a taste test. There's no going back. The taste is pure sesame ... no strange aftertaste like all the other brands. I used it cooked and uncooked and every time the results are spectacular.

This is TOTALLY excellent.
As 99% of the reviewers here say...this is an extremely fine product...exceptional flavor and aroma. Absolutely world class. The very few negative reviews complain about 1. their order being messed up (not the oil’s fault), 2. the aroma or flavor being too strong (that’s what sesame oil is like...use DROPS instead of spoonfuls), 3. the bottle being too small (the volume is very clearly marked), and liking some other brand more (it’s a free world...buy whatever you want). Someone said to check the ‘use by date’. I did. My bottle says Jan. 2021. That’s a year and a half. Seems adequate to me. Look folks...we’re talking $6 here. It’s seriously excellent and will totally dress up a WHOLE lotta ramen (etc.). Highest recommendation.

This is pretty good. It might be too strong for some
This is pretty good. It might be too strong for some. You can mix this in to other oil to cut the taste. Used it on some lo mein noodles. After boiling and draining the noodles you rinse them and cool them down. Then add some vegetable oil and sesame oil mix to the drained noodles and mix. You can then fry the noodles. Don't add too much oil as the noodles have a coating of it.

The taste was wonderful and fresh
One of those items you forget to pick up at the store. The taste was wonderful and fresh. If you dont use this often buy a small one. Product goes bad fast.

Flavorful
All oils are not created equal. District scent & flavor. A little goes a long way.

Smells and tastes too strong and stale
I have not used sesame oil much for my cooking and I bought this oil based on 5 star reviews from other buyers. However, I did not like it. It’s very strong and tastes stale. I know that sesame oil smells strong but this one didn’t taste good. It was bitter for kimchi salad 🥗. I would not recommend it to someone who’s new to introducing sesame oil to ones cooking.

Easy to get and adds great flavor.
We really enjoy the flavor a little sesame oil adds. I use olive oil to do the work and a little sesame oil to flavor. When the bottle gets low, I know I can get more easily without searching the grocery stores!

excellent for cooking
This oil is fantastic for many great tasting recipes and for Asian cooking in general. Also this oil seems to withstand high heat without burning. In my house we use it all the time for many different dishes. Sesame oil contains vitamin E which is an anti-oxidant. This means it helps lower your cholesterol.I like to cut up broccoli, peppers (green and red), brussel sprouts and a chicken breast. Then I add soy sauce, hot sauce, ginger & garlic paste, water and of course sesame oil. You only need a little sesame oil. Less is better here because if you put too much the sesame oil will overpower the other flavors. A teaspoon or a little less is just right. This makes a quick tasty meal when mixed and stirred in a hot pan on high heat. It only takes about 10 minutes and serves at least 2 people. Very simple and quick meal that tastes great with sesame oil.I'm sure there are loads of tasty sesame oil recipes. All you have to do is search the internet and you'll be busy for hours if you like to cook. The main thing is to use it sparingly. This oil is dark, rich and very tasty.
