Highly Function Packed and Highly Competitive Phone with Awsome Mods!
I am very pleased with my device; it truly feels like a dream come true! For years, I wanted to own a Z-Series device, but the battery size and the lack of mods made the price unjustifiable. However, the Z4, which appears to be the final version for now, has seen significant improvements. It still features a 3.5mm audio jack, and the battery can last more than a day with moderate use. This device boasts numerous interesting features and stands out as one of the few that supports a 1TB microSD card. My previous phone, the Note 2000 Ultra, was the last one that supported such a large storage capacity. Given the current price, it offers excellent value for money. While 5G connectivity is still relatively new, 4G LTE remains relevant, mainly as many internet-connected cars still rely on 4G networks. Fun fact: this phone was one of the thinnest models back in the day and remains very thin compared to phones nowadays, boasting a QuickCharge 3.0 at 20W charging, a 3600mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 675 processor, which is now typically found only in much more expensive devices. Although the Z4 was released in 2019, its specifications are still quite future-proof. When you consider that some touchscreen phones now cost around $69, this one is reasonably priced at less than double that while remaining competitive. Additionally, the JBL Speaker Mod and the Moto 150-lumen Projector Mod offer exceptional performance, making your music louder and better than many other phones. Due to the limitations of Moto mods, they are now very affordable; some that once retailed for $150 each are now available for only $40-50. If you want to stock up or purchase a couple for replacements, it won't break the bank. Overall, I'm investing in the Moto Z-Series ecosystem and appreciate the modular design that it offers.

"Excellent condition" = looks like new
Wow - that was delivered quickly! The Motorola Z4 arrived as advertised: the phone itself was in excellent looking condition in generic packaging with good enough wart & cable. Internal battery life appears good (@ 4 days). It was also unlocked - which was a nice bonus, for NZ use. (but as it should given its age & Verizon's 60 day policies) The only two blemishes are; - an ever so faint small "yellow stain" at the very bottom center of the screen right below the home button, which wouldn't be worth mentioning (my Z2 screen has the Moto logo burnt in), except its right above the USB port... - the phone's USB profile seems a bit messed-up/confused claiming the phone is powering a device when nothing is plugged into the USB-C port, which prevents the Moto Mod battery from charging the internal battery. A USB cable can charge the phone and exchange data, and the port looks fine - but the battery mods make the Z4. I'm hoping the USB playing up is a Motorola "feature" that resolves - it seems to be pretty common across the Motorola/Lenovo forums. That not withstanding, this looks like being a great upgrade from my Z2 Play - Great Price, Great Condition, & solid performance.

All the problems others had are fixed with my purchase
This phone is awesome. Can't beat the price. I read all the reviews and they had me worried about purchasing this phone. I have not one of the other reviewers problems. My phone came clean, it was already updated to android 10 (I did have to do some patch updates but that's expected). I received an original Motorola turbo power charger so I didn't get a cheap one that most people complain about. Charger specs are 5v @ 3A, 9v @ 2A, 12v @ 1.5A. When I plug it in it says turbopower and it charges fast. Now they may have a faster one out there but at 18 watts this thing charges fast. The display is absolutely beautiful. The sound watching videos are loud and not distorted. Calls come in clear. The cell phone picks up signal where my older phone couldn't. Which was the Moro x 2 force. I've had it a full day and have been on it constantly and still have 68 percent battery. I did have it charging during setup (copy files over) and system updates. I feel bad for the other people who have had problems and I hope y'all get them worked out. I'm just writing my review for my experience saying that I couldn't be more happier. Not one single problem here. Knock on wood of course if anything happens in the next couple of weeks I will be sure to let you know. As of now thank you Amazon.

Great phone, "Renewed" is a mixed bag, though.
The "renewed" item description states that generic accessories may be substituted - However I expected it would be a like-for-like substitution. Instead, I got a Samsung-branded 5V 2A charger and a USB A-to-C cable, which does not supply enough power for TurboPower(tm) charging -- while the genuine Motorola charger included with a brand new phone has high enough amperage to support TurboPower. This means that the phone would only charge at the older, slow USB 2.0 speeds using the charger provided in the box. Luckily, I am replacing an older Moto that I broke recently, and can use my old chargers instead, which are 30A and charge my phone in under an hour. But if I were switching from Apple to Android, for example - or upgrading from a much older phone with micro USB - I would've been disappointed to discover that my "renewed" phone charges so slowly with the provided accessory. The phone itself is in good condition, but it was not cleaned adequately - There are visible traces of grime in the seams of the body and in the earpiece grille that I expected would've been properly detailed before resale. Neither issue is insurmountable, and the price for a "renewed" model is much lower than brand-new, so I will call it a wash -- I'm hoping the Z4 serves me well for the upcoming two years! As for the Z4 itself, I am upgrading from a Z2 Play and the performance difference is astounding. The new OLED screen is gorgeous, color is vivid, and it's nice to have Android Pie, while my Z and Z2 are still stuck on Oreo. I intentionally skipped the Z3 play due to relocation of the power button and elimination of the headphone jack - Moto wisely corrected both mistakes, and they have been put back where they belong on the new Z4. The behind-screen fingerprint reader... well, the jury is still out. It's strange, but it seems to work somewhat okay. Perhaps not as reliably or accurately as the physical reader on the Z or Z2, though.

Moto X - expired technology!!!
Nothing but problems with this phone!!! The text msg feature won’t notify me or let me read any text msgs. Which is super frustrating, It adds apps without my permission. I mainly bought it for the Projector which is an Awesome feature! But, I believe the phone came with pre-existing bugs & It’s just too old & non compatible with todays technology.

Moto Mods Forever!
I'm glad I was able to find a newer phone so I can continue to use my moto mods. I'm hoping Motorola comes out with a newer model. I love this phone and the projector mod and I wouldn't have it any other way.
