Alex Evenings Women's Slimming Long Cap Sleeve Dress with Side Beaded Detail

I rarely write reviews but felt as if this dress deserved one. I’m 5’3” (on a good day) and about 175 lbs with a lot of curves. Things never seem to fit me exactly right. Alex Evenings pleasantly surprised me with this one though…. Gorgeous color, material that stretches and is extremely flattering to the figure. The sizing was even on point! :)

I bought this dress for a wedding. The material is good quality and the dress fits well. The color was also as shown. I would recommend this dress.

Cute style, but fabric feels like wearing a scuba suit or swim rash guard! Would have liked if the fabric was different.

Bought as a mother of the bride dress. I have had a terrible time finding styles that look okay on my middle aged overweight body. This dress miraculously made me look pretty darn good and it is also very comfortable! I'm 5'6" 150 lbs and the 12 fit perfectly. I will try to lose about 6 lbs before the wedding and I think this dress will still fit --- it is very fitted.

Ordered for guest at formal wedding. I'm 76 so love the style/design of the cap sleeves and gather across abdomen. The fabric has a great deal of body so the skirt hung straight. I'm 5'4" and would not have to shorten it. However when they sewed the zipper in the stretchy fabric got pulled so the zipper makes the fabric pucker. I am a 10P but this dress is too long waisted in the back, likely because the fabric got stretched so the zipper pooches out between the shoulder blades as well as rippling all the way down the back. It was tight across the breast area in front especially on the left breast and also the left shoulder which is substantial because I am smaller on the left side and my left shoulder is lower normally leaving a gap which did not occur in this dress. It has to go back.

I wore this for my daughter's wedding, and got so many compliments! It's well-made, comfortable, and elegant. The fabric has some stretch to it, so it moves with you, and doesn't lose its shape. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

I wore this dress in black to my son's black tie wedding and it looked so elegant and classy! I ordered one size up from 6 to 8 and it fit perfectly; snug but not tight. I'm 5'6" and the length was just right, covering the ankles but letting my sparkly gold shoes show. The slight shirring at the waist and the sparkly insert at one side was so figure flattering. I received many compliments! The "scuba" fabric held its shape beautifully without feeling heavy or stiff, and when I unpacked it from my suitcase...not one wrinkle! I cannot say enough about this gorgeous dress.

Very pretty but just not my style so I returned the dress.
