Trying to transition from chair yoga to intermediate yoga
I have been anticipating the release of a half hour Happy Yoga Intermediate volume series and this is, hopefully, the first of many such videos to come. For those who have viewed Happy Yoga on television or online, you have likely viewed and recognize the difference between intermediate and chair yoga. Happy Yoga intermediate yoga is more challenging than Happy Yoga chair yoga in that poses are done on the floor and while standing. The names of poses presented in this intermediate yoga DVD are also presented in chair yoga DVDs. Therefore, if you have been doing chair yoga, name recognition of poses and possible modifications that you might specifically need should not be a problem. Also, Sarah Starr has often mentioned in her videos that one must go at their own pace, to listen to one’s own body. Autumn Leaves includes plank and warrior poses. Fiery Ocean Sunset includes triangle poses, twists, and a forward bend. Both incorporate multiple downward dog poses. Ease of movement should increase with practice; change takes time and patience. If you have been doing Happy Yoga chair yoga and could advance either with standing or floor poses and/or if you would appreciate a yoga practice that focuses on calm attention to oneself, I would recommend Happy Yoga intermediate yoga.

I own multiple Happy Yoga DVDs.
Happy Yoga DVDs provide both physical and mental/emotional benefits. Not only do I follow along to gentle stretches, but I escape for 29 minutes into lush greenery, golden fields, or sandy beaches, while listening to the sounds of nature. So, I stretch my body and my imagination. Sarah Starr also includes tapping, of which I am a big proponent, into some of her DVDs.

I came across Happy Yoga on TV by chance one morning while flipping through the channels. It was an episode from Volume 1 - in the sunflower garden - and was so beautiful and relaxing I ran to Amazon to see if it were available on DVD. I'm so glad it was! I'm new to yoga, and wanted something that wasn't labeled for "Seniors" that gave me some support so I could learn poses and breathing without falling on my nose. Happy Yoga's Chair Yoga is just perfect for me! I love having the variety of one seated and one chair-supported episode in each of the five volumes - good value for the money! Sarah Starr's voice is clear and calming, and the settings are amazing. The filming is very well done. I've ordered three so far, and plan to complete my set with the other two volumes soon!

Sarah's Happy Yoga Chair yoga is awesome
Sarah's Happy Yoga Chair yoga is awesome! I have physical limitations and her videos have enabled me to do yoga again. I love that I can do standing postures like down dog, warrior poses and triangle pose with the aid of the chair. Her voice is so calm and soothing. My husband is in the other room when I do yoga and he said just listening from the other room, her voice makes him feel so relaxed. I bought VOLUMNS one through three and I love them all! I plan to ask for another one for Mothers Day. Doing yoga with Sarah is the favorite part of my day. I use them every single day.

Great addition to your exercise routine
Saw Happy Yoga by Sarah Starr on local PBS channel and found it fit into my morning exercise routine. I am a senior (78) and have always loved yoga but after developing a bit of vertigo found I was not able to do the regular floor yoga. The use of the chair and mostly upright positions are easy for me to follow. I use this as the end of my morning routine of either Leslie Sansone or Debra Mazda videos. I have been doing the routine for 2 months and definitely have a more defined waistline after adding the Happy Yoga video. Everyone must develop an exercise routine that works for them. I have found Happy Yoga works well for me. If you have Amazon Prime, the first season is free to stream as well. Keep moving.

I enjoy yoga but because of multiple medical issues I can ...
I enjoy yoga but because of multiple medical issues I can no longer do many of the stand alone and/or floor positions. I watch and then participated in several of Sarah Starr's shows during a recent "staycation". But I leave for work at 6:30 AM and they were on at 6:00 AM. I was extremely pleased to find here programs on DVD's. I purchased three and enjoy them tremendously!!

Happy (new) Chair Yoga student!
After 'finding' Sarah on PBS recently, I was anxious to have (at least) a few of her DVDs. Her accessible poses and continuous guidance, with an amazing variety of spectacular natural settings as background, 'elevate' the experience of yoga and allow the participant to reap the benefits of both strength and serenity. Highly recommended!

I have back issues, so this yoga workout is perfect for me.... The background scenery is wonderful, Very easy but does the job..
