My new best friend!
Okay I'll say right off, maybe I should get more friends! But as a man who is a self-styled amateur chef, I have been pining for one of these types of cookers for a couple of years now. I always find a way to squeeze in one more item on the countertop. I choose this model based on reviews, features and brand name. I use my Instant Pot pressure cooker on a semi-regular basis and it is also a great cooking appliance, so I trust the brand name, and it doesn't disappoint. I first took the air fryer into the garage and ran it through a couple of cycles before using it in the kitchen. There was clearly some smell as noted elsewhere, likely from manufacturing. By the time I used it "for real" on the 3rd run, barely any smell. And by the next time...no discernable smell at all. My complaints are small, but let me get those out of the way. I wished it preheated up to temp faster. It's advertised in such a way that you think in 60 seconds, you're cooking. In my experience, it's 5+ minutes to get it to 400. Faster than an oven for sure, but not quite the blink of an eye I was hoping for. Second - the beeper is not loud enough. It beeps to tell you it's now at cooking temp, to rotate food or when food is done. For some reason, it seems louder to tell you food is done than it does to tell you the preheating is finished and to add food. You've got to be very close, so you can hear (or see) when it's up to proper temp. Since most foods are specifically timed, if you don't get your food in shortly after it heats up, it will start counting down whether there is food in it or not. Neither of these takes away from the overall 5 stars. I've had it for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety of items. I used the roast feature for skinless salmon. Amazing taste and quick. I found that 10 minutes was perfect for my fish. Others might find mine slightly overcooked, so experiment. It took about 3 tries for my fresh sweet potato fries to come out perfectly. I finally got it right at 20 minutes at 400 in the basket using the air fry function. Evenly cooked and delish. I did homemade coconut shrimp. I can't remember the exact time - it seems like 12 minutes at 380 but I'm going by memory. There are recipes out there to cross-check my memory. Again - used the air fry function. Baked potatoes were the best I've ever made at home. If you like potato skin, check this out. I rubbed them in olive oil, then lightly sprinkled sea salt, black pepper, and a blend of spices that is mostly garlic powder on the outside. These were large potatoes but I guessed and I guessed right - 400 degrees on bake setting for 50 minutes. Perfectly done inside and a nice crispy and tasty skin. You'll have to take a stab at it based on potato size. HUGE potatoes could be up to 60 minutes. Small taters - might be as low as 25 or 30 minutes. Other items I've done are quick prep items. Some frozen and breaded shrimp were perfectly done at 8 minutes at 400. Frozen tater tots same temp at 8-10 minutes. I sprayed a light coating of olive oil and salt on the tator tots. Crispy and delish. Everything so far has been easy and delicious. I have not used all functions - only bake, air fry, and broil so far. If you're on the fence and you like to cook, take the leap! 3/5/23 update: still really enjoying my air fryer. I find that it makes fish taste amazing. The dinner shown in the photo is flounder and sides. The flounder was cooked about 7 minutes using the broil function. Rubbed a bit of avocado oil, then used some fresh thyme and lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of garlic spice blend. Squeezed some lemon over the top, and broiled perfectly. I still use it, still enjoy it and continue to recommend it!

Purchased Nov. 2025
I was late to the game, this is my first air fryer. I chose the XL specifically so I could cook rotisserie chicken. I am happy and very satisfied with this product. I got it during Black Friday so I got a pretty good deal. I even managed to fit a 5lb bird, although I had to use extra truss all over(4lb is the max). I also cook wings from time to time and they come out great. Top rack cooks the best. I heard hooters flour is good so I bought from Amazon and used for air-frying and the wings came out great. Lightly dust and keep skin side up and do not flip them. Eventually the chicken fat will saturate the flour and a nice coating will develop. Wings were cooked at 380 for 24-28min but keep an eye out for the top rack. You can also experiment with lower temps of 360 depending on preference and cranking to 390 or 400 for the last minute for extra crisp. If you have uneven sized wings or drums larger than flats, first cook the larger pieces for 5-6 minutes before adding smaller pieces. Oiling the grates is unnecessary. I don’t bother with preheating for meat, just stick your protein in from the start - especially for larger cuts. This will also help the internal meat temp to slowly rise instead of charring the outside and having a raw center. I can understand preheating the unit if you’re cooking pizza, nuggets, etc. Also, the light switch is convenient to see the cooking process. For the 5lb rotisserie, I cooked for 1.5 hours. I had the chicken spinning for about 40min at 325. I know this is a low temp but I wanted to ensure the bones were cooked through and importantly the tendons in the leg were softened. For the rest of the cook the temp was at 360 and I paused the spin cycle and cooked breast side down. At times I would rotate 45-90 degrees and pause again for 10-15min. Finished with breast at 155 and dark meat at 187. Rested it 20-30 min in my toaster oven which was set to 100F and kept the oven door open. For smaller birds or Cornish hen I would cook at higher temps from the start. After cooking soak the grates in warm water and cleans with a soft sponge. For the removable door, I literally spray rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and wipe the glass. Same with the interior, rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and the grease comes off. If you do it while the unit is warm even better. In the future I will probably buy a smaller unit 6qt as well. Probably more convenient and quicker for small single size servings. UPDATE: For rotisserie chicken, I would have probably gone with Emerils 26qt air fryer, much larger space. Chicken are much larger nowadays even including heritage birds. The 26qt Emeril air fryer I mention is the original one, NOT the dual zone. Dual zone is not a good product and also has a heating element on the bottom as well so you can’t really use a drip pan. Bad product and It’s much more expensive than the original version. Finally, an important point about this XL air fryer! There is a vent in the back and tons of hot air is emitted so placing this directly against a wall on your kitchen counter may not be good over time. I usually put it away in a kitchen cabinet but if this is going to be a daily appliance something to keep in mind.

Definitely WORTH IT!
I ordered an Innsky Air Fryer in October of 2019, which JUST gave up the ghost. I was looking for something very similar if not exact, that would be easy for my son to use since he already knew the other one. (He's special needs and uses it as much as I do!) This one is exactly the same on the inside. Just a different name, and different buttons. This one is MUUUCCCCHHHH quieter than my last one, which I absolutely love! (The alert beeps to turn over the food, or letting you know it's done are also quieter. But I think I remember seeing something in the book about turning up the volume. Not 100% on that though!) What I don't love so much, is that it's just like an oven, in that it preheats at a higher temperature to begin with so you have to turn it on and then wait a minute or so for it to beeped and the display tells you to add the food. If you added in as soon as you turn it on the food burns. Our old one did not do that so that's taking a little bit of getting used to. But I would still highly recommend it. It makes chicken thighs perfectly, tots and fries, anything you want to reheat and make crispy, just absolutely perfect! I love the fact that you can do a rotisserie chicken in it, (but since Costco's are only $4 99, I'll probably never do that! 🤪) I've also never used the rolling basket, because the fries and everything else turn out just fine on the slotted tray!

Perfect balance of air fryer, toaster oven, and dehydrator
This is our first "air fryer". We saw it on sale for 2025 Prime Days and our family has air fryers are we wanted to try it. We replaced our traditional toaster with it to save counter space as this thing is BIG. Wow. It works really well. Perfect toast at 260F for 3-4 mins. Perfectly baked tilapia in 8 minutes without turning the big oven on for 15-20 mins (including preheat time)!!! Air Frying really does work! We were so surprised as it's just a tiny convection oven. Nothing special. That's what air fryers are. I guess the small space circulates even faster than a big convection oven. Just blown away. I did a marinade and dehyrated some super thin lean steak and wow. INCREDIBLE. For a dehyrator, its small. You can't do much at once, but it keeps you from having a lot of devices around. Going to do some fruit next. Overall, for my wife and myself, we are using this much more than our big oven, saving time, energy, and kitchen heat during the boiling summer months. We love it so far. A big tip is DO NOT have this too close to your cabinets, tiles backsplash, etc. We have solid surface counters and it never gets hot enough on the bottom to harm it. It's actually cooler on the bottom than I expected. BUT the back... HOLY MOLY! My tiles were so hot you couldn't touch them! We have ours in a corner and on low heating it's fine. No heat. But move it a good foot away from anything when cooking above 250 F or you'll regret it. The only real down side is even after hours of use it gives off a strong chemical smell. That grosses us out, but hopefully that will go away with time.

This thing is INCREDIBLE!
Ok, so I don’t normally review things that are household items like this, best this one deserves it! The wife and I were looking to replace our old and tired toaster oven, and wanted to go with something that also worked as an air fryer. So I went down my normal rating and reviews rabbit hole I travel whenever about to purchase these sort of things and got good vibes about this unit. Let just say, the reviews didn’t do it justice. We’ve had it 2 weeks now and it has blown me away with how well it works. Toasting, air frying, broiling, baking, and roasting have all been tested and work insanely well. I think the air frying function is the most impressive, a handful of chicken nuggets and tatter tots are cooked perfectly in less than 5 mins. Without a doubt, one of the best purchases I’ve made for the house in quite some time! If you’re looking for a replacement for your toaster oven, or like my wife and I, something to do it all, BUY THIS!

I Was A Skeptic. No Longer.
This air fryer craze has become monolithic. It's genuinely, actually, verifiably insane how fast these appliances seem to have proliferated across basically every single kitchen in the U.S. and beyond. For some time, I viewed myself as a 'true' culinarian. Far above the common air fryer existing in my perfectly structured kitchen. "It's just a miniature oven!" I would tell people, incredulous as to why they would relinquish a Benjamin from their pockets to our Amazonian overlords. "Everything you can do in an air fryer, you can just do in your normal oven." I told them. I told myself this as well. My nativity makes me feel sick now. I am in agreeable with my former self, and the snobs that refuse to accept the air fryers culinary dominance for convenience. It IS just a tiny oven that lives on your countertop. A tiny convection oven. That is in fact, the exact point. It's meant to be small. Small means less volume of air to heat up in order to preheat and cook your food. Small means less electricity used for the same portion of food. Small means fast. Sure, you can't make a whole thanksgiving dinner in this thing, but in today's day and age we all don't socialize but three times a year, so heating up your whole oven 6 nights out of the week just for some Dino nuggets is becoming more and more wasteful now that I think about it. I also agree that the term 'air fryer' is silly. I'm going to call my pot of boiling water a 'water fryer', and my fridge an anti-air-fryer. The definition of 'frying' is to cook something in hot fat or oil. While your air fryer may not cook something 'in oil' your food typically contains enough oil on its surface to impart some of that crispiness on its own, sans the big tank of oil needed for 'deep frying'. I'll let it slide, cause otherwise I don't think I'd know what to call it either, cause "Miniature Countertop Convection Oven" sounds bad. In regards to this particular air fryer. It's the best. The convenience in day to day life is literally unmatched. My normal oven takes about 15 minutes to preheat. This air fryer can cook my food from frozen until done in that amount of time. Pizzas come out crispy. Dino Nuggets with a 'not-completely-unlike-fried' flavor to them. Salmon can be baked so hot and so quickly that the center still remains a nice soft pink instead of being blasted pale all the way through like my normal oven would. On the internet you'll find all sorts of dumb esoteric recipes to try to justify to the non-believer like my former self that buying one of these will 'totally get you to make an air fryer cheesecake', but the reality of it is, you don't need any of that fluff. I, like many red blooded Americans am not ashamed to say I eat leftovers. This reheats 90% of leftovers without any hassle, in about 3x of the microwave, but with 200% better results. If leftover pizza takes 1 minute in the microwave, I can have a slice done in about 3 minutes with this air fryer, and it yields significantly crispier crust. As for the little do-dads that come with this air fryer, you might as well toss them. The little basket is kinda funny to toss a bunch of Dino nuggets into to watch duke it out for 5 minutes as they rock-em-sock-em dinosaurs inside of the countertop oven, but other than that there isn't much use to it. The full size chicken rotisserie is the same, seeing how a rotisserie chicken from any grocery store is like $6 and reheats better on the flat trays that are provided than the spit attachment. All in all, this air fryer is a tank. Soaking up damage from my leftover ribs, burgers, broccolini, popcorn chicken, and whatever other nonsense I toss at it for the better part of 3 years now. It's durable, it looks pretty clean with the 90 degree angles, and I'd say it's well worth the money.

Why did I wait so long to get an air fryer?
I simply Love the Instant Pot 10QT Air Fryer with 7-in-1 Functions; it's easy to use, takes so much LESS TIME to cook than my traditional oven, and so far, I've been happy with the food results. I use it to cook frozen foods and to reheat leftovers mostly, and I'm thrilled with it. Highly recommend for these purposes. I used the broil feature to make cinnamon toast, and it turned out wonderful. Just had to use the light and watch it so it didn't burn, which I had to do in a traditional oven also. The only negative about that was the blower blew loose cinnamon powder all around the inside of the Air Fryer, which I had to wipe down well after it cooled. It wasn't hard to clean up, just unexpected, since a traditional oven doesn't blow the food around. I haven't cooked anything other than that, so I can't rate the rotisserie feature. I'm glad there's no digital clock to have to reset when the power gets disrupted; I have enough other clocks in the kitchen. The cooking timer is easy to see so you can tell how much time is left while it's cooking, and it tells you when to turn the food for even cooking. The only thing I wish could be improved is the loudness of the beep. It has very low beep when it's ready to add food, turn food and when done, and I have to be in the room to hear it. Compared to my microwave beep and my traditional oven beep (both of which I can hear from the next room), the Instant Pot Air Fryer beep is far too low and needs to be louder. As far as the counter real estate that it takes up, that is no problem for me. I measured my counter area before purchase, and I tried putting a cardboard box roughly the same size as the appliance on my counter as a test before purchasing so that I could get a good idea how much room it would take up. It's considerably taller than a toaster oven that I once had, but I have enough clearance with the overhead cabinets and the actual Air Fryer works well on my counter. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would buy again.

The Maiden Voyage
I bought this because I am familiar with using the basket models and did not like them. This also has other uses which appealed to me. Out of the box it was completely sound. No cracks or bent areas. I almost did not buy due to the notation that this machine was frequently returned. However, the Prime Week gave me a deal I could not refuse. Today was the maiden voyage so to speak. I followed all the manufacturers directions for cleaning and first time operation. Keep in mind that I am not really great at working things in the digital age, but I passed the first steps without hazardous outcomes. Just follow the directions and you will do fine. I made french fries from raw potatoes using a little olive oil. I seasoned mine with salt, pepper and a little garlic powder. I used a tablespoon of cornstarch to enhance the sticking of the spice to the potatoes. I also recommend rimcing and then soaking the.fries in cold.water.for.around 20 minutes, drying them and then spicing them. I shook it up in a large bag. I found that a 1/4 inch dice was perfect. I cooked them spread out on both trays for 12 minutes. I flipped them 1/2 way.through and also switched the trays placing the bottom to the top and top to bottom for uniformity. They came.out perfect! I also cooked chicken wings on 400 degrees for 18 minutes. Again, 1/2 way through I turned both trays and switched the trays. These came out awesome! Juicy inside and crisp on the outside. I have only one critism thus far. The door does not seem really secure. No, it did not fall off or anything like that and the digital components for adjusting temp is also somewhat confusing. Or maybe it is just me. Like I said, I am not a tech savy individual. Also, the lack of a few recipes or time tables would have been nice as well. I found many on line, but the minimum table for things like frozen pizza, French fries, etc. would be good to have for first time users. Overall, and so far, this is doing as promised. The only reason I gave this a 4 is due to the lack of basic recipes and or time tables and the instructions that can be confusing to the novice user. I will update as I use the other functions.

3 years and counting
I've now had this Vortex Plus oven for 3 years, and aside from my coffee makers, it's the appliance that I use the most, so it has mileage on it. The good news is that it's still working very well. Unfortunately, some LED segments of the display are starting to wear out, so it's getting harder to read. That seems to be a common failing of modern small appliances. I have older appliances with LEDs and they're still lighting up like new. Normally, I'd deduct a star for that, but the oven performs so stellarly otherwise that I can't rate it below 5 stars. As an air fryer, it works perfectly, and it's tall enough to fry two layers of food, or to adjust where you want to put the food. As a basket crisper, it's also excellent. I purchased a second basket with a side opening door that's more useful for some foods, but the basket that comes with it is perfectly fine. Anything with a mesh will be more work to clean, but that's par for the course. Just having this feature is worth a full star. The rotisserie aspect is the most unique feature, and the reason I purchased it. It's fantastic, but you don't get a lot of headroom. You won't be roasting whole chickens in this oven. But smaller items, like a pork loin, work perfectly and the results are amazing! As a toaster, it does a mediocre job. I tried it a couple of times to give it a chance, and it just doesn't toast well. But that's not why I bought it, so I don't really care. But if you're buying this to get your toaster off your shelf, think again. So, unless you want this as a toaster or you want a rotisserie for whole birds or other large items, I can highly recommend this oven, and after 3 years, it seems to be durable. Factor in the low price, and it's a pretty sweet investment.

Love it.
I recently purchased the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 10 Quart Air Fryer, Rotisserie, and Convection Oven, and it has quickly become my go-to kitchen appliance. This multi-functional device is a game-changer, offering a wide range of cooking options including air frying, roasting, and baking. The 10-quart capacity is perfect for large families or entertaining guests. It's spacious enough to accommodate a whole chicken for rotisserie cooking or a generous batch of fries for air frying. The appliance is well-built, sturdy, and easy to use. The controls are intuitive, and the digital display makes it simple to set the desired time and temperature for different recipes. One of the standout features of this air fryer oven is its versatility. Whether I'm in the mood for crispy fries, juicy rotisserie chicken, or freshly baked cookies, the Vortex Plus delivers exceptional results every time. The convection cooking technology ensures even and efficient heat distribution, resulting in perfectly cooked meals with a crispy exterior and tender interior. Cleaning this appliance is a breeze too. The non-stick surfaces make it easy to wipe away any residue, and the accessories, such as the cooking trays and rotisserie spit, are dishwasher-safe, saving me valuable time and effort. Another aspect that impressed me is the included recipe book. It provides a great variety of mouthwatering recipes specifically designed for the Vortex Plus. From appetizers to main courses and desserts, it's a handy resource for exploring new culinary creations. Overall, I highly recommend the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 10 Quart Air Fryer, Rotisserie, and Convection Oven. Its exceptional performance, versatility, and ease of use make it a must-have kitchen appliance. Whether you're an experienced cook or a beginner, this air fryer oven will elevate your cooking experience and delight your taste buds.

Very good
Used to have one, years ago. It wasn't as nice as this one nor did it work this good. This is a large unit, will take up some space on the counter where ever it will be kept. But being large also means it can cook more food. The inside holds 3 trays; one in the bottom that catches the grease dripping and 2 above it that hold the food. The convenient part is that you don't have to fire up a big oven and wait for it to get to the right temperature. This AirFryer its ready to go in a few minutes. It's convenient for quick meals.... 3-4 sausages, hot dogs, chicken legs, wings, French fries, etc. The one thing that can be improved is the buttons on the front panel. They are a hit and miss... the front being flat, can not tell where exactly to push and pushing on the function that's lit up doesn't always turn on the unit. Eventually after repeatedly pushing 3-4 times on "AirFryer" function, will turn on the airfryer. Aside from that, everything seems to work well and the food that comes out of it, its fast and delicious.

No kitchen should be with out.
I bought this because I like my Insta pot so much but when I received it and saw that it was an oven and not a traditional air fryer. I decided I didn’t want it, but failed to return it on time six months later I finally opened it. I have had rotisserie countertops before, and never use them too hard to clean too hard to balance, the food that it actually worked. This one is so simple and works so well. I do whole chickens and small roasts regularly. The roasts are so amazing. I actually had to buy myself a food slicer because I couldn’t bring myself to buying sliced roast when I could prepare them so beautifully. The rotisserie basket is also amazing. I don’t generally eat potatoes, but I had to do some chips just to try it and they were so simple and such a hit. I do wings in it both marinated and dry. Once you do your roasted cauliflower in it, you’ll never do it other way. It’s also fantastic for reheating. The best I have been able to do with pizza is actually cooking the crust bottom first and then cooking the pizza. Any tips for how to get a great crispy pizza would be appreciated. The biggest reason I did not want a traditional oven air fryer was cleaning, but I am surprised at how amazingly easy it is to keep clean the door coming off is a great idea. Also, I’m not sure what they made the basket up but it also cleans extremely well. The tray on the bottom is a perfect place for some beer or wine while using the rotisserie
