I recently purchased Damprid Fresh Scent Drops, and they have completely exceeded my expectations. I live in a humid area, and the constant moisture in the air was affecting not just my room but also my closet. Love this product I've used for many many years for a long closet without ventilation that's situated underneath the steps that go up to the second floor. where I live we have a rainy season. Some closets and small utility rooms Don't really have enough ventilation and these work amazing Get the little holder water collection unit it's worth the 20 bucks. These tablets last a long time and I no longer have damp utility room.

I already own a Damp Rid Counter Top Decanter and when the tablet or tablets that came with it were gone, I could not find refills anywhere. There was no need to buy a whole new set up each time the previous tablet had been used when refills are cost effective and a box of four lasts for several months. We like the fresh scent as it smells clean while not being overpowering. Note: I have used the unscented variety of this product in the area where we keep hunting, camping and fishing supplies. As many of these things don't need the high humidity or perfumed scent. Great product that is well packaged too.

Okay, so this stuff works. I initially purchased these to use around a litter box in order to control odor. It works exceptionally well at that. I know that's not their intended use, but controlling moisture helps control odor. I decided to try them in the closet to see if they could help control that musty odor on clothes that have been hanging for a while. And it worked, although not as well. I had one on the floor and one on the top shelf. One day, the one on the shelf decided it wanted to go on a little adventure and took a flying leap, splattering the weird liquid on the walls, clothes, shoes and floor. I believe this stuff is alive, possibly some sort of gelatinous, alien life form. It does not want to be captured by rags or towels. It simply slips around in front of everything you try to clean it up with. And it's slick as, well you know what. I tried Mean Green, Windex, toilet cleaners, everything under the sink. Nothing worked. It fought it all off and just kept spreading into an ever larger oily slick. Not even Dawn would touch this stuff. Eventually, I tried plain old rubbing alcohol and it worked. Holy shhhh, it worked. But I didn't have enough and the smell was strong. I found some vinegar and that worked as well. Eventually, I wiped most of it up with vinegar and then high sprayed it with alcohol and let that evaporate. So far, it seems to have worked. However, I'm out of rags and towels and paper towels. My boots seem to be okay, I've cleaned them with saddle soap and will treat them with mink oil when they dry. The clothes all washed okay as well. In the end, the product does what it says. The Fresh scent is very odd and strong, but that worked for me. It might not for you. If you're not looking for a scent, I think you would be better off using the old school Damp Rid hanging bags or the plastic tubs with foil on top. Those would all be safer in terms of spills and much cheaper.

We use these all the time in our closet. They last a good while and function well.

Placed this in my basement not expecting it to do much. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it removes dampness and doesn't make my basement smell moldy or damp. Originally I bought it during winter and it barely removed any moisture since there really isn't much humidity during that time of the year. Once spring and summer came around, the tablets quickly disappeared and collected moisture in it's little collector. Not sure how safe the liquid it extracts is, so I've dumped the liquid outside, but it is an amazing product. I've since had to order several more tablets to keep the basement moisture free during summer but overall a great bargain for the money as well as the electronics and tools it helps protect in the basement.
