Gorgeous and airy fabric
These pants are so lightweight and feel almost like silk. I am in my 40s, about 145 lbs and around 5'4 and bought the large in taupe. Im very picky about pants and find it difficult to find any that i like, these are very flattering to my pear shape both loose and knotted. However they are about 3 inches too long and dragged on the floor when not tied up. I'm having them altered and consider it totally worthwhile. I could have probably worn a medium and that may have helped the length, but I'm not sure they would have draped as well. I bought these with the plan to wear them on a day long boat trip, however the fabric feels like it may be too delicate (exactly as described in the listing.) Perfect for travel.Update: I did end up wearing them out on the boat and they held up beautifully. Even with a big slobbery dog that sat on my lap half the time! I even ended up wearing them 2 more times before washing them, they didn't even look worn by the end of the 3rd day. Definitely recommend.

Expectations Met
I am 5'5, 170 lbs. I purchased a size L sun Harlem style pant. I found the fabric to be lightweight but dense enough to feel comfortable wearing white. When I first took them out of the package I was "oh no, this isn't going to work." I tried them on and they were a perfect fit. This is when I noticed the cloth weight would work for me. I didn't want anything sheer or see through. The length works for my height with sandals. I love the easy way to tie the pants up. They look great either way! I was hesitant because of the price, but now I'm glad I gave them a try. I will buy another pair for the summer.

Very thin, cool, and lightweight.
These fit as expected based on my normal size. The elastic has stretch, obviously, but the material itself is not stretchy. The cut of the pants is loose enough though that I didnt feel any inhibitions for movement and I was sitting on the floor stretching in them. The material is quite thin and I'm actually afraid I'll rip them, but they have held up to a few wears so far one of which I was doing a lot of moving and setting up for an outdoor party. They are very lightweight and don't feel like they heat up in the sun (I have black). I really love how comfortable and cool they are. These are definitely some of my new favorite summer pants. Especially for errands. I plan to try them out salsa dancing outside and at the beach. I will try to remember to update my review with any concerns from that, but I dont anticipate any.

Great travel pants
So lightweight and has a drawstring waist. I wore them day after day in Egypt. It was 100 degrees. At night I would wash them in hotel sink, hang dry and they were dry and ready for day 2.I wear a size 12 US and am 5’5 and the large fit perfect. Also flattering and comfortable

Wide legs, white is semi-sheer
I bought these for a summer trip to Italy with 100+ degree weather. The fabric is as advertised feels airy and soft. A lot of the other UPF 50 clothing I tried including Coolibar's own ZnO(TM) and REI definitely didn't feel airy and weren't as soft. The waist is very adjustable with good-quality elastic and a nice drawstring. The main sizing seems to be in the pant width. I'm 5'7" and 135 lb. Amazon recommended a size medium but the size medium pant width ballooned and it looked I was wearing clown pants. If I had bigger thighs, I'd have kept the medium.I then bought a size small. Even in size small, the pant width is very wide like flood jeans but works with the style of the pants. The white fabric is semi-sheer so I wear it with white underwear. IMO not a big deal.I also bought two other patterns directly from Coolibar that had sold out on Amazon. The patterns disguise underwear better but it's still something I wear with white underwear.

EDITED: slightly expensive but great
Edited review:After I had already requested a refund, I traveled somewhere with a lot of sun exposure and had nothing else to wear, so I decided to give these a shot. They turned out to be a lifesaver. I have no doubt that I wouldn't have lasted as long on the hike without being covered. They are very lightweight, which threw me off initially, but they do not feel flimsy. I feel bad that I left such a negative initial review. I do still think they are rather expensive, but if you can afford them and you know that you'll be somewhere where the sun is intense, I think these are still worth the price.Original review:I am a big fan of the Coolibar brand. Unfortunately, I ordered these pants in white, and they were so incredibly sheer. Additionally, the fabric is thin yet does not feel like it would be very breathable. Also, I bought these because it says that you can tie them at the bottom, but I did not realize that you literally tie up the fabric. I thought there would at least be a string. Overall, I did not find these to be worth the money and I will be returning them :(. Hopefully Coolibar will come up with a version with slightly thicker fabric and drawstrings at the bottom.

WOW!!! great pant
I was a little hesitant to but these but so very glad I did that I went back and ordered more. They are wonderfully comfortable and can be dressed up or down. The fabric is very light and airy. They are a little long but I can hem them if I need to. When tied they are perfect length. I recommend.

Cheap fabric
The fabric is 100% polyester but it’s really see through and feels so cheap. I have multiple coolibar items and they’re all well made and feel comfortable. Those pants are just not. And especially not for $89!! Going back.
