Hagen Pigeon & Dove Seed Mix, Original Formula Bird Food, 6 lb Bag

Excellent product! Thoroughly tested and approved by my neighborhood pigeon flock. They had a field day with this stuff!

This seed is so spectacular ! Extraordinarily CLEAN ,smells so GOOD truly and the 60 pigeons we feed love this

I have 6 pet pigeons and this is the food they prefer over all others.

I feed the neighborhood pigeons, doves, and quails. I don't use a feeder. I fill a cup with food and hang over my balcony. Distributing seed on the lawn below. And I put some on the ledge of my balcony. In the front, I distribute around the trees and bushes for the quails that show up in the morning. The birds know they're feeding time and start collecting and waiting for me to distribute the bird food. I actually love this brand although I go through it pretty quickly because more and more birds have been showing up, so I have to distribute more so that everybody gets their meal twice a day!

Pretty good. Bird seems to like it.

Our back yard was pretty much a desert because we have yet to add grass and plants to it. We never get any birds at all, and we love birds. I got this without raising my hopes too high but I was so surprised at how quick the birds came to eat from it. We had 3 species of birds at least. The food particles are small enough for tiny birds like the one you see in my video, and the color is a yellow-ish beige and has no real distinct smell aside from it smelling like how every other grain smells (nothing specific but it’s not bad smelling, it’s just grainy smell lol). It’s very durable because it rained today all day but it held up its texture and shape, but it’s soft enough to be eaten by birds because I see them munching away so I know it’s not too hard for them. 100% recommend it, this stuff works like magic at attracting birds.

THEY LOVE IT !

My pigeon likes this and does not throw out a lot of the seed as she does with other food. I will purchase again. No big pieces as my bird does not like big pieces just small.

Soooo, last year a pigeon got caught in a terrible storm and barely made it to my balcony. It was absolutely soaked, and it spent the night. I was worried it was hurt, so I gave it bread and such. And it kept coming back. For 8 or 9 months, just this one fella. After the first couple weeks, I bought actual pigeon food and a feeder. Over the winter, a couple more started coming as regulars. And in the last few months it seems the word is out. Yesterday I counted 23 feathered fekkers out there. I often now have a sense of “What...have I done..????” I kind of want to stop but I also feel guilty when the feeder is empty, so... I guess I am feeding the pigeons of Montreal until I die 😆 Anyway - apparently, it’s good food. I ran out and bought other stuff from a local pet store while I was waiting for the next delivery, and they barely ate any of it. This stuff seems to be the right size for them to absolutely devour it - and they do! The pigeons of Montreal give this food 5 stars.

Loads of birds here in this yard, the feeders were all emptied, great product

I feed the same 7 Mourning Doves and the same 8 Pigeons daily. I was using chopped peanuts, sunflower seed and wild bird mix. I decided to try this specific food. The enthusiasm from my 15 friends has been really encouraging to watch. The important thing is, first and foremost, they eat very quickly and throughly, don’t have trouble picking any of it up and having to take too much time, which makes them vulnerable to the Hawks. Secondly, they are looking much much better since I introduced this seed to their diet. I believe that the fortification of the seed, both in nutrition and insect control, has been an incredible assist to the birds, who often deal with difficult living conditions and have eaten contaminated things to survive (like the effects of lead poisoning, which pigeons often contract in urban/suburban areas) leaving them deficient at best. The birds feathers are much nicer, their sheen is easily twice what it was, they also seem to clean their feathers and arrange/rearrange their filling crops more quickly. I have seen that some people felt the flattened corn addition was negative, but my experience has been the opposite. They never leave any; the technique I see the Pigeons use is picking up the flattened kernel, clipping it in their beak, eating the portion in their mouth, picking it up again, repeat. Two of them always scan through their portion to eat the ‘corn biscuit’ first, but none of them dislike it. We (the writer of this review and my cooing friends) cannot recommend Hagen Pigeon and Dove Staple enough. Very reasonable price for food that’s just excellent.

This is very nice product. I see lot of Doves and sparrows in my backyard. Pigeon and Dove likes this food. Overall very good.

Mes pigeons l’adorent !! Après 6 jours ces deux petits bébés ont volés direct sur moi. J’ai passé quelques heures à leur donner en gâteries et après adaptation mes 10 pigeons mangent dans ma main.
