If you’re looking for a bag that’s not too big and not too small, this is it!
I LOVE this bag. I got it to carry my new MacBook (13 inch) in, and so that it could be my designated “writing bag” and it’s the perfect size. It has the perfect amount of pockets. What I really like is how strong and thick the zippers are! The canvas material is also really sturdy. I also like the way it looks. It could also be a good diaper bag. It’s very diverse and would make a great gift. The internal padding is thin, and the shoulder pad on the strap can dig into the neck a bit, but that’s not an issue to me.

Leaper "Large" messenger bag is wonderful for day trips!
These Leaper crossbody bags are very well designed. This Sky Blue "Large" sized unit is my second one of these bags. The first one was a "Medium" sized unit, purchased last year. They are constructed very well, with quality stitching and durable, well-made fabrics. These bags have very good storage capacity. This "Large" bag can hold a 40 ounce Owala Freesip water bottle vertically with ease. There is plenty of room also for food items like granola bars and a sandwich, too. My mobile phone fits well in the zippered compartment in the messenger flap for easy access. The strap is long, adjustable and comfortable. This bag is a great accessory for a day outing. Definitely recommended!!!

Excellent Bag for My Needs
After purchasing and subsequently returning many bags to be used as a medical HEAT Kit (a bag containing meds and information to treat my particular rare disease) this was the first that allowed full use of the dimensions advertised. Most of the openings were smaller than the actual measurements on other bags. For example, I carry an IPad with complete medical information. Although many bags should have been able to carry it, the openings would not allow the iPad to actually get in the bag. Other nice features included the ability to carry it cross body on either side just by shifting the strap. I also found some bags that did most of what I needed but this particular bag allowed carrying it with a handle as well as the shoulder strap, nice for entering and exiting my vehicle. The abundance of pockets for organizing my contents was also very important. Carrying multiple categories of accessibility aides, it was nice to organize same. If there was a negative (and it is tiny) I would have loved to have rubber feet or maybe some sort of protective bottom to the bag so that the canvass would not wear out as fast. Weight and ease of carrying were also of great importance. My particular disease leaves me weak on some days and carrying a heavier bag or one that didn’t leave my hands free was just not an option. The multiple attachment points for the shoulder strap also made for excellent places to attach it to my rolling walker. Again keeping my hands free to hang onto the walker or handrails. All in all, a great bag for the money and far out performed much more expensive bags for my purpose. I did buy a couple since they were so well suited for my purpose.

"anti theft" is a stretch but a decent, well made bag for the price
I was pleasantly surprised with the decent quality of the bag, I personally don't like the material much based on the way it feels but most bags are like that and it's all thick and high quality, should hold up to every day use for awhile. On the note of anti theft however, I must say the lock may function as a deterrent in some situations, like if you're at work and worried about someone rummaging through your bag but not ballsy enough to take the whole thing, or cut it open with a knife, but the bag is canvas, a cheap everyday pocket knife could easily cut it right open if someone really wanted to get in the secured pocket and the bag is small enough to easily grab and run with. It's not completely useless, it gives a bit of peace of mind for me at work, that's not even why I bought it though, but don't expect this to completely protect your belongings and leave it laying around, if an actual thief and not just a shady coworker or student who notices your bag in a camera Blindspot at work/school wants what's in your bag, they will absolutely just cut it open and or take the whole bag and cut it open at home, it's not a safe, just a minor deterrence. Just think about that if you really need an anti theft bag, something better would probably have a alarm you can activate with a key fob if someone runs off with it, or a gps tracker installed you can track with your phone. Both of which you can probably just buy and put on any bag. As for durability, I can't give it a full 5 stars yet because... I want this bag to last and I'm not gonna give it a full stress test, the important thing to me in durability is how long it's going to hold up to regular use and I'm not going to know that after one day of taking it to work. It feels durable, I'll give it that, all the zippers and handles and straps feel secure, no loose threads, nothing feels like it might break off for no reason, was actually surprised how durable it appears to be, which is why I gave it 4 stars from the get go. I won't be updating most likely unless negative, so if you see it's been 6 months and I haven't come back and complained about durability, consider it 5 stars.

Real buyer! Did not receive sample in exchange for review!
I actually bought this thing. Personally, I'm sick of seeing that disclaimer. If you are too, you can trust me, at least on this. This bag is far roomier than the complaints about size would indicate. It's a tiny backpack, yes, but it's well designed and can fit more than you'd think. I am taking it with me to London and Paris next week and was thrilled to find that I could comfortably fit the following items: - DSLR Camera pack insert (by i-graphy, available on Amazon) - My Sony a6000 equipped with 35mm lens (into the insert) - Sony 55-210 lens with hood (into the insert) - a small umbrella (folded is less than 7", and I fit it in the side pocket that looks like it's best for a phone - Rolled up marmot rain jacket, Medium - One pocket-size map of London - One pocket-size map of Paris - Pocket-sized french phrasebook - One pair reading glasses It all fits comfortably but yeah, you'd be hard pressed to jam anything else in there without it looking crazy bulky. As it is now, it is full, but doesn't look like I'm walking around with the seams busting. I do wish my 11" tablet would fit as well, but while it could if I took out the camera, they can't both fit. If you had a smaller tablet and left out any of the other things, you could make it work. It also sits well on my back and shoulders. I'm a 5'10 man of average-to-athletic build and this bag does not look tiny on me. It's well built, stylish but low-key, and a good, comfortable design that works for everyday carry, I very much recommend this bag. Nobody gave me a darn thing for this review.

much better than expected in several areas
i admit that i only received this day-before-yesterday and this review obviously can't cover more than the initial impression(s). i've spent hours on amazon over the last two days trying to compare bags and backpacks and it's nearly impossible to do without being able to see and handle them in person. thus, my first two attempts were total duds and so cheap they weren't even worth returning. the hardest part is trying to estimate how large they'll be when you're carrying them. i wanted one only about 1/2 to 2/3rds the size of those i see people carrying for 17" laptops, but i needed it large enough to carry an ipad in its own case with its accessories. i also wanted a water bottle holder on the side. it didn't really matter to me whether it had one or two straps, thus i considered backpacks as well as sling bags such as this one. and i kept coming across those swedish rucksacks which seemed to be the most highly rated. but they only had 3-4 pockets at most and no side pocket that would hold even a small water bottle. loved the mini and the regular size though--those sizes (11-14") was just about perfect. so obviously i came across this one late in my search and i was skeptical because there are a lot of companies who game the ratings and you can mainly tell them by their capital letters in their descriptions and the overflowing praise for the product. but even though this one was an unfamiliar brand and didn't have those warning signs and had 55 seemingly solid reviews, i went with it even though i would far prefer the high-tech buckles instead of the old fashioned slow buckles this one seemed to have. but i was pleasantly surprised on several fronts when i had it in front of me. first, the material was heavier-duty than i expected, giving it a quality feel. next, the buckles turned out to really be snaps and you didn't really have to use them. i wish they'd left all of them off entirely, but ... there were more pockets and sleeves than i expected which will really help with organization. i was easily able to fit the ipad inside its own case full of accessories and my kindle as well in the main compartment and there are some more sleeved compartments still in there i haven't used. i distributed much more smaller items in the other pockets and i still have the front zippered one left for easy access documents and another pocket for snacks or occasional items. it's pretty fully packed (80-90% i'd say) and pretty heavy. i like that it will (usually) stand up on the narrow but flat bottom as long as i arrange items the right way. the single strap can be set for left or right shoulder carry or cross body carry. haven't carried it anywhere yet, so can't comment on the comfort. it's not as padded as some, but it is wide and hopefully will distribute the weight. actually, the single point of disappointment is the side pocket which is narrow and small and flapped. and it would be ok if i wasn't wanting it for a water bottle. luckily i had a zojirushi 16oz bottle that is slim enough i could fit in there, but i think a 20 or 25oz one would be impossible. and it would have been nice to have another side pocket for a travel umbrella or at least if the decorative buckles and straps could be adjusted to hold it horizontally. i'll figure something out. bottom line is that i'm very pleased with this purchase. i hope i get a lot of use from it. /guy

Perfect
I have been using this bag for a week now to test it out. I bought it for my trip to Europe coming up, as I wanted a small bag that could be slung over shoulder for some hikes out to castles etc... I will have a larger bag too, but I know I won't want that bag when just going out to dinner or when there is a pretty long trail to some secluded castle on a cliff. Let me just say, this is a great little pack! I got the small, and it holds all the essentials without looking big or bulky. The bag looks pretty sleek in it's design, and you can personalize it since it's canvas if that's your thing. I have a 13 in MacBook Pro, and while I couldn't use any sleeve or case with it, I did get it zipped with my laptop inside with about a mm to spare. Point is, if I absolutely needed to get it in, I could even though it's the small pack. I wouldn't want too, and this is definitely best for tablets, but it's nice to know I could. This bag has already become my daily bag, and will remain so after this trip. As for durability, this bag is built pretty well, and I think it will take quite some time to wear down to the point where it needs replacement- like YEARS. I'll update when back from Europe on it's performance. If I had one recommendation, it would be to have the option of a chain clip to "lock" the zippers to the main pouch which just helps dissuade pickpockets when looking for a mark. Just would be a nice option. 7/8/19 update Used this all throughout Europe and it worked like a champ. The thing held up great and still looks like new. I’ve been using this daily since I bought it as well. Well made little bag. I will say this thing does feel a bit heavy when worn for long periods, and my shoulder got a bit sore here and there in Europe. That’s the only downside that I’ve found. Overall, I’m super satisfied with this purchase :)

but I can't easily access the smaller zipped pocket because it's only on ...
Just a request: can the inner/smaller zipped pocket also have two zippers? I usually swing it around to the front under my right shoulder, but I can't easily access the smaller zipped pocket because it's only on one side.

Bin begeistert.
Muss ehrlich sagen, ich hätte nicht all Zuviel erwartet. Ist ja ein recht günstiger Preis. Lieferung, war zügig. Verpackung gut. Merci vielmals
