I got the handy little device mostly out of curiosity. I have used it and found it to work very well. It takes a little time to learn all the functions, but it works quite well and the price was very good too.

I got one of these for one of my girls that travels a lot as you see so much about people hiding camera to take videos of girls undressed etc... This was more for peace of mind with a bit of fun thrown in as you really don't expect it to happen to you. My son found out that I got her this and he said he wanted one to, that I was being sexist (LOL :-P) by only thinking someone might spy on her and not him (well he had a point, he is pretty to!) so I ordered another one for him! Lots of fun has been had with these by them and their friends although no one has found a hidden camera in their hotels yet, it does however pick up the signals as advertised. We took off a star for the crummy instructions as my kids said that someone not that into tech might have more trouble figuring out how to work this.

I can't recommend this device as it stopped working. I did an initial test run and put it in a drawer for a month. I took it out, tried to recharge it, and it never worked again.

Camera detector works well. RF detector is difficult to use. Instructions are far from helpful in using the RF detector.

This device is simple to use and great to take on trips! after watching on the news that some people leave cameras inside hotel rooms or public bathrooms, now it is very easy for me to make sure that my family and I are safe at all times :)

I would still like to have the part to use to detect GPS, please.

So on one hand, at least one feature of this bug sweeping device does work. Although I'm not sure how well all features of it work. It was honestly a bit tricky to get it figured out at first, the instructions leave something to be desired. I also noticed that on occasion, I'd have to crank the sensitivity way up to notice something. You get what you pay for. I have a few friends that are private investigators, but these guys spend the big bugs on anti-surveillance devices. For $50, you can't expect a device that's going to work wonders. But I will say that it actually helped detect something, in a place that I didn't quite expect....We took a brief trip to my home city, and under the current circumstances, opted to not stay with relatives. So we did the next best thing, we booked a condo through AirBnB. My Wife actually thought I looked a bit silly, sweeping for audio devices and cameras. Every now and then, you read a story online about a how a hidden camera was found in a public bathroom, or hotel room. Also, I read something online about how certain AirBnB hosts in my home city had been using devices that measure sound levels from rooms. Supposedly nothing that can record or stream audio to the host. But something that measured how loud it actually gets in each room, to ensure that renters don't try to throw a party, or otherwise make too much noise for neighbors.I felt reassured when I couldn't find any listening devices in our condo. But then, something very odd happened. I'm not sure if legally I can get into that much detail, while things are still being looked into. But I was able to discover that a small camera was hidden in an air conditioning vent. I wasn't able to physically access it, nor was I sure that I even wanted to myself. But I did find it, and took some pictures of the device. Without the bug sweeper, I would have never known it was there.Overall, it does seem like sort of a cheap device. Which is why I knocked the star rating down a bit. But it did help me discover that the host - or a past renter - had a hidden camera in the condo. Could I be missing anything else with the bug sweeper? Possibly. But then, I do know that I was able to find something I otherwise wouldn't have, using this device.
