trail king is my savior
I don't have a whole lot of experience with different tires, but I can say the trail kings are excellent for the dry loose-over-hard conditions we have on our trails in Phoenix. I have a 2019 Salsa Timberjack that came with 2.8 WTB Rangers which didn't have much grip on loose surfaces. I swapped to a 2.6 mountain king in the back and a 2.6 trail king in the front. The TK definitely is more grippy than the MK. There have been multiple times that I started to lose the front wheel, and with my other tires it woudl've been a crash but as soon as it starts to slide the TK side knobs really bite into the ground and catch.

Grip! Grip! Grip!
Replaced WTB Rangers with these to help tackle loose, muddy, and rocky terrains better. They delivered! Researched and considered many other tires prior to pulling the trigger on these, and have not been disappointed yet!

Nice Tires
I wanted some good decent tires that would hold out and we’re not China cheap. These tires are made in Germany and they are a high-quality. I’m thoroughly satisfied with them and happily give them a good review

Feels ponderous and slow on my HD4
I really wanted to like these tires but never could get it going with them despite trying differing pressures, nothing really helped.Great straight line stability over the chunks but always felt ponderous and slow the rest of the time, always got the feeling I was fighting the tire, hard to explain. Made the bike feel heavy.My other bike has Maxxis High Roller II 3C on it running 25 PSI and I simply love those tires.Going to swap these out for them and will edit later the differences.

Did awesome on snow.
Mounted them up tubeless and set out on fresh 1.5-3 in powder on the bike trails and I had a blast.
