A great Barcode/QR code scanner for a fairly low price.
This is a very good Barcode/QR scanner for a low price. Itâs quite âSLEEKâ and good looking - and also comes with a nice stand (scanner recharges when in the stand). Iâve had troubles reading smaller QR codes with other scanners - but no problems with this unit. The included wireless âdongleâ can plug into the stand - so you just cable up the stand and youâre good to go! Recommended!!!

This is a steal! Easy to use, set up, and scans super fast!
I found out only after I purchased it that this was on a limited-time discount. It's a bargain for this price. Spoke to their tech support and apparently they recently launched this model and that is why it is so cheap. In my professional opinion having used quite a few scanners in my life, this should be priced somewhere around 100-120 max. Has significantly more configurations than my zebra scanner which was almost 260...what a joke...Anyway...i'm using it in my warehouse for my inventory and my misses also uses it for her inventory on her books in the library. Works flawlessly - plug and play no issues. ScanAvenger tech support is also amazing. Recommend them over reaching out to Amazon which is most of the time a waste for the beginners out there - this comes with 2 cables. One for the scanner to charge or connect if you want to use it directly - this is USB-C. And one for the stand to connect to your pc so it can charge or transmit data. I recommend you only use the cable that connects to the stand and leave the scanner charging in the stand since it's smart enough to do that rather than keep 2 cables around which seems like a waste. They should probably optimize that and not load up the box with it since users can easily use just one cable instead of 2.

đď¸ Lightweight, Easy Setup and Reliable, My Experience with the ScanAvenger Wireless Scanner
The media could not be loaded. â Why Trust This Review:Weâve been using multiple ScanAvenger Wireless Portable Scanners for our business inventory processes, connecting them primarily to iMacs. After extensive use, hereâs my detailed review of the performance and overall functionality.âď¸ Quick Summary:The ScanAvenger Wireless Portable 1D&2D Scanner has proven to be an essential tool for our business, offering quick, easy setup and seamless integration with macOS. While it supports various connections (iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, and macOS), we mainly use the USB dongle for simple plug-and-play functionality. Itâs lightweight and ergonomic, minimizing hand fatigue during long sessions. The battery lasts impressively long, fully charging in about three hours, and weâve never had one die on us during use. The scanner handles 1D and 2D barcodes effortlessly, including QR codes, making it highly versatile. While its wireless range is advertised as 493 feet in an obstacle-free environment, we found that with medium-density obstacles, it holds up well to about 50 feet before disconnectingâsufficient for our needs. However, the design of the stand could be improved, particularly the positioning of the power cord. It attaches to the back, but in a way that feels awkward when using the scanner. Despite this, the scanner has become a critical part of our workflow, and we now own five of them. It should be noted that this scanner does not work with platforms like Square, Shopify, or ShopKeep.đ Design and Build:⢠Lightweight and Ergonomic: The scanner is extremely lightweight, minimizing hand fatigue during long use, making it perfect for continuous scanning sessions. Despite being made of plastic, it feels durable enough for daily use, though we handle it with care to ensure longevity.⢠Easy Installation: The plug-and-play functionality with USB-A is as simple as it gets. We use these with iMacs, and all it takes is plugging the dongle into the USB portâno need for complex setup or software.⢠Adjustable Stand: The scanner comes with a stand that is easy to use, but the positioning of the power cord is a bit awkward. When placing the scanner in the stand, the cord faces forward, which looks untidy and disrupts the aesthetic.đ§ Practical Use:⢠Excellent Battery Life: The scanner fully charges in about three hours, and weâve never experienced one dying during use. It has plenty of battery life for full workdays, and we usually just recharge it at the end of each day.⢠Versatile Scanning: It handles both 1D and 2D barcodes seamlessly, including QR codes. Itâs fast, accurate, and doesnât miss a beat in our inventory process.⢠Wireless Range: The manufacturer claims a range of 493 feet in obstacle-free environments and 98 feet with medium-density obstacles. In our space, which has several obstacles, we get about 50 feet before it disconnectsâstill plenty of distance for our needs.âď¸ Advantages:⢠Lightweight and Comfortable: The ergonomic design makes this scanner perfect for extended use without causing hand fatigue.⢠Easy to Connect: With plug-and-play installation, we were up and running in secondsâjust plug in the USB dongle, and itâs good to go.⢠Long Battery Life: The quick charge time and long battery life ensure the scanner is always ready when needed, with no fear of running out of power during a shift.â ď¸ Considerations:⢠Stand Design: The design of the stand leaves something to be desired. The power cord attaches to the back of the scanner, but to properly dock it, the cord ends up facing forward. Itâs not a dealbreaker, but itâs awkward and could be improved.⢠Platform Compatibility: Be aware that this scanner doesnât work with platforms like Square, Shopify, or ShopKeep, so it may not be suitable for everyoneâs business needs.⢠Wireless Range: While the range is decent, it falls short of the manufacturerâs claim in real-world settings with obstacles. We found that it works up to about 50 feet in our environment, which has several obstacles.đ In Conclusion:The ScanAvenger Wireless Portable 1D&2D Scanner is a lightweight, reliable tool that has become an essential part of our inventory process. Its plug-and-play setup, versatile scanning capabilities, and long battery life make it ideal for businesses that need efficient and hassle-free scanning solutions. While the design of the stand could be improved, particularly with how the power cord is positioned, the scannerâs performance outweighs this minor inconvenience. Just keep in mind the compatibility limitations with platforms like Square and Shopify. Overall, itâs a solid investment for businesses that need quick and reliable barcode scanning.đĄ Buying Guide:⢠Who Itâs For: Ideal for businesses looking for a lightweight, wireless scanner that can handle both 1D and 2D barcodes with ease, and who donât rely on Square, Shopify, or ShopKeep platforms.⢠What to Look For: Be prepared for the standâs awkward cord placement, but otherwise expect great performance, long battery life, and easy installation.â FAQs:⢠How long does the battery last? Weâve never had one run out of battery during use, and it fully charges in about three hours.⢠Whatâs the wireless range? The scanner works up to about 50 feet with medium-density obstacles, which is plenty for most environments.⢠Is it compatible with Square or Shopify? No, the scanner does not work with Square, Shopify, or ShopKeep platforms.âđź Final Thoughts:The ScanAvenger Wireless Portable 1D&2D Scanner is a highly efficient tool that has proven to be reliable for our business. With its easy setup, excellent battery life, and versatile scanning capabilities, itâs a great addition to any inventory process. While the standâs design and platform compatibility may be limiting for some, the overall performance makes it a valuable investment for businesses needing a lightweight, dependable scanner. This review was written by U N O V I S I O N, where we focus on providing honest and detailed reviews to help consumers make informed decisions. These are a hit with our retail staff!
I have been buying these for our retail staff, gradually replacing the old hard-wired scanners (with the coily cords). The staff LOVE these wireless scanners. For ringing up items, doing inventory, etc. they work flawlessly.
