Replaced the batteries as instructed out of the box... the toy doesn't work. I've turned on and off and nothing. What am I missing?

i know the stairs have to pulled all the way out for one button to work. I can't remember if we had problems with it when we first got it.

Will this play the song without Elsa

This castle is awesome. We have had it almost 9 months and still my Granddaughters go to toy. The Elsa song goes on with the movement of the staircase. The lighting is great too

My daughter is turning 5right before Christmas. I know the age range is to 5 but can anyone tell me if this is too juvenile for a 5 year old?

I don't think it is. Disney Little People are sort of limitless when it comes to age range. My 2 year old loves it and my son, who just turned 6 still plays with the Disney Little People.

Will it interact with other little people for the singing area thing?

You can use other Little People figures with it. The button and stairs will play music when pushed/opened without the figures as well.
