Very good if your trying to wolf the best hard brush I have.

She is a white woman with solid white afro hair, keeps it short. Due to her 76 year old hands, she can no longer embroidery, or get a brush through her hair. NOW SHE CAN WITH THIS BRUSH. The descriptor words, Men, Barbers, Thick to Coarse, Hard, Sturdy, Firm are what sold me and she fully agrees, this is exactly what she needed to care for her hair. She said the handle is really nice, fits her hand, is comfortable to use, and not a strain. No longer will she dread her am workout on her hair but instead is looking forward to the improvement of it's condition she says she knows is coming, healthy and shiny once again. (She made me cry when we were teens by forcing me to iron out her beautiful curls) Happy we are AND it arrived one day early. So Thankful.

This nice brush fit perfectly into my needs for myself and my dog. I bought 2 brushes because of the price. It has been so nice to have one again! As for the dog, he has extremely long hair and fur that mats in a heartbeat...literally he can be groomed, walk across the floor and have mats behind his ears and under his legs! All brushes and combs, and I do mean ALL hurt, so I was anxious to try it on him. What a relief it has been for him! This brush gently helps untangle the mats clear to the skin without causing pain and discomfort....it is a bit longer in grooming, but so worth the effort. Remembering how hardy a boar bristle brush was as a child, I sorely missed them over the years and to believe they were out of my price range. I was delighted to find this brush and am quite happy with it. If I were to change anything, it might be a couple things: a bit smaller version, one with a shorter handle and bristle bed for easier handling. I would prefer the bristles be longer. Overall, I really like this brush for myself and especially for pet grooming!

I have purchased a couple other boar bristle brushes and have been disappointed that they won't do anything more than slide down the topmost outer "layer" of my hair - nothing under that even gets touched by the bristles, as they are just way too soft. THIS brush, however, DOES work well, and DOES get through to the hairs underneath the topmost layer, so it does a MUCH better job of smoothing ALL of my hair, and distributing the natural oils on more than just the very top/outside layer. The handle is a little bit shorter than I would have liked, but it is still comfortable and made from beautiful wood. This is a very nice quality brush; it is hard to find brushes these days that are wood, and have boar bristles like this. And you really can't beat it for the money - fabulous deal at just $3.49 with free Prime shipping!!

For the price, it's well worth it - if your hair is the right type. On my slightly wavy, somewhat thick hair, it works quite well. It detangles and smooths my hair without feeling like I am breaking every end I have. That said, if I had really big tangles, I'd probably use a big comb before using this brush first, because it's not really a detangling brush - it's best used (on my hair anyway) as a finishing brush or for light tangles. I do find myself reaching for it because it doesn't yank through my hair the way my other brushes do. Overall, it's a great value, and I like how shiny and smooth my hair is after I use it. It seems like it's fairly well made, and feels nice in my hand.

I bought this brush to have on hand in my office, after using a boar bristle brush at home for the last year or so. Because I wasn't going to be using it as often I went with a less expensive brush like this one, and I can tell the difference. I have been using the Ambassador olive wood hair brush (costs about 5x more), and it feels and works much better. I have short, straight hair, and even so, this Diane brush does not brush the hair into place without more effort and more attempts. I think the hairs are not as thick, or there aren't as many (I've never laid them side by side because one is in the office and one is at home). It still gets the job done, however, I am much more pleased with the Ambassador brush, both in terms of its utility and the way it feels in the hand. This is a good inexpensive brush in its own right based on price, but against at least one competitor, it does not measure up.

It’s good, not too big and easy to keep it in small bags for traveling. It’s a little bit hard but I think depends how sensitive it’s your hair. Still it’s good to brush your hair and make it look nice.

Serves the purpose. The bristles are very firm, if you have a sensitive scalp then you should avoid. It works brilliantly to take the dandruff off of my hair.

I’ve started adding historical hair care practices to my routine, including brushing with this boar bristle brush. I go 1 week between washes, so this helps to draw some of the oils from my scalp towards the ends of my hair, helping my hair to appear less greasy while protecting my ends from drying out in the process. The bristles on this brush are good and firm but I do need to section out my hair to brush it as it is very thick and difficult to reach my scalp with the bristles. The brush is holding up well so far; not many bristles have come out. I’m satisfied with my purchase, and I would recommend this brush to anyone wanting to grow out their hair.
