Excellent Compact Video Light with a Wide, Even Beam
I purchased this light for underwater video, and after diving with it in real-world conditions, I've been very happy with the results. The biggest strength is the beam pattern. The 120° flood beam provides very even illumination without creating an obvious hotspot, making it ideal for wide-angle scenes and close encounters with marine life. The daylight-balanced color also produces natural-looking footage. For such a compact light, the output is impressive. It's not intended to light an entire reef from a distance, but that's true of any light in this size class. Used the way underwater video lights are meant to be used, getting close to your subject, it performs exceptionally well. I also appreciate the thoughtful design. The battery level indicator is easy to read underwater, the USB-C rechargeable battery is convenient, and the ball mount integrates easily with standard camera trays and arms. The construction feels solid, the controls are simple even while wearing gloves, and I haven't had any reliability issues. If you're looking for a compact underwater video light for diving, snorkeling, or underwater photography, I would definitely recommend this one. I liked it enough that I'd purchase it again.

Excellent light for photography and videography
I just returned from a week of diving in Roatan and was very excited to view my photos! Let me say I was not disappointed! This rechargeable light is powerful and the on/off switch is very easy to operate. This light floods your subject with light so all the details are visible and clear. I used an inexpensive action camera on my night dive and chose to focus on still photography. My friends are amazed at the light and clarity of my photos. My OrcaTorch D530V performed exactly as I had hoped! Lastly, this is a wonderful secondary light to have on your dives because of its ability to flood an area. Yes, I absolutely recommend purchasing this light!

Excellent Product
I wanted a video light to use with my underwater camera. The internal flash is located on the left side of the camera, and quite often I get shadows to the right of the subject. So the idea was to turn it on, take the picture, and turn it back off. That was the intention, and it worked very well for that use. However, to my surprise, it turns out to be a formidable dive light for general purpose as well, thanks to its incredible battery life. I started to use more and more, just waiting for the time it would run out of battery. For 100~120 min dives, it stays on all the time. Now I don't really need a spotlight anymore, since the video light is less aggressive on marine critters. Regarding the light, the wide-angle beam provides smooth illumination throughout the entire photographed area which is great for UW Photography. No shadows, no hotspots, just constant light. The ball mount works very well, but I chose a different one that allow for a better positioning of the video light. Just personal preference. Battery is rechargeable through a USB cable, without the need of bulky and potentially hazardous battery chargers. It also comes with extra o-rings, but with a bit of silicon grease every once in a while on the thread I expect them to last a long time (I'd think it's worth it to check for signs of wear though, and replace the o-rings as needed). One last comment: all the use this far has been on daylight dives, which only stresses how good this video light is. I highly recommend the product.

Excellent small, light, and very bright video and focus light.
This is a great little light! The beam is wide enough to illuminate the entire field of view on both my iPhone and my GoPro. The battery charges quickly and lasts a long time. How long is long? Well, I normally do two two-hour dives. During the dives, I am constantly turning the lights on and off as I capture photos and videos. I have yet to have the battery run out during one of my dives. I liked the light so much that I bought two more. I use two to help illuminate my GoPro videos. I use the other one as a focus light for my Nikon DSLR in its underwater housing. I like the light so much that I recommended it to my dive buddies who shoot with GoPros too. They followed my advice and love their lights too. The three photographs were all shot with an iPhone using just one of these lights. Looking at the cost, size, and illumination, this is a great light and I recommend it highly.

Great Budget Video Light — Perfect for Wide Cave Illumination
I got to use this video light for the first time while cave diving this weekend, and the performance was excellent—especially for the price. It provided wide, even illumination that made it easy to see the cave walls, ceiling, and floor, which is a big advantage compared to a narrow-beam primary light. In the attached photo, you can clearly see the difference: the two other divers’ primary lights produce tight, focused beams, while this video light spreads illumination across the entire area. It really highlights how much more of the environment you can see at once with a wide-angle video light. That said, it’s important to remember this is a video light. The wide beam isn’t meant to be a super bright, focused hotspot. Because of that, you’ll notice more backscatter if there’s a lot of particulate in the water—but that’s expected with any wide-angle light. There are definitely more powerful video lights out there that can completely light up a cave, but those typically run $1,000+. For around $100, this is an incredible value. I didn’t use it long enough to need the second battery, but I really appreciate that the kit includes one. I mounted the light to a Big Blue dive helmet, and it worked great—just keep in mind that if you’re filming, your camera can cast a shadow if you hold it directly in the beam. Overall, this is a solid, budget-friendly video light that performs well and gets the job done.

Great light value in a small package
This light represents a very good value for small systems such as Go Pro or Sealife RM4k. Small and portable. Get close as you should with any lower brightness light. The 1200 lumens illuminates subjects evenly and beautifully. Well done? The D530V is very good quality with push button on/off and brightness level. The LED battery level indicator is clear to read. The V indicates that it is a video light and I would not recommend it to be used as a main light. The illumination quality is very good with no apparent drop off in light quality from edge to edge. I recommend this light for small camera systems with wide angle lenses.

IT's not the Camera, It's all about the lighting!!!
MY Hypothesis... AN INFERIOR CAMERA WITH FANTASTIC LIGHTS CAN PRODUCE great results. So I kitted out my GoPro Hero 9 with 3 ORCATORCH D530V 1200 Lumens Underwater Video Light, 120° and I was VERY IMPRESSED withe the results. I did some intense diving in the Pacific and my gear took a beating and never stopped working hard for me. Lets be honest, we need our gear to work hard for us when conditions are difficult! Currently waiting on the GoPro hero 14 to be released so you understand how old my GoPro 9 is.

Handy backup light but not bright enough for most video applications
This is the second ORCATORCH light I have purchased but while I am using the D710 on almost every dive, I have not made extensive use of the D530V for several reasons. Mainly, I mostly shoot macro still shots and almost no video, but after a couple of dives with the D530V it seems that the light would not be suitable for video in the conditions I typically dive in: the broad beam (140°) is wider than most video lights spreading the advertised 1200 lumen over a larger area, which is not really bright enough for our Southern California waters. On the positive, as mentioned by others, the battery life of the light is excellent and the built quality of the device itself is also worth 5 stars. Turning the light on and off is easy and can be done underwater with a push button that provides enough resistance to avoid the light accidentally turning on, which makes it a good choice for a backup light. The battery indicator, unfortunately, much like on the D710, is near impossible to see in brighter light, but the housing is rugged and the light head screws onto the battery body with a tight and precise fit. Aside from the very wide angle and the low output, I was not impressed by the ring holder that came with the light. The ring is too large and the screw securing the light is made of plastic and I wouldn't trust it alone to keep the light on the housing. The included ball head, however, seems very solid. Unlike the D710, the D530V did not come with a nice case. All in all, this was close to 4 stars for me considering the very good build quality and battery life, but for my own requirements, the light just isn't a great fit.

Great quality
I haven't used it yet, but I'm really impressed by the quality and all the parts in this package. The strength of the light is great. There was surprise snoot which is perfect as I do macro photography. The spare battery is very useful also. I will use it next week and write another review based on how it works underwater. Can't wait to use it!
