Good little tent but no rear window
This is a cost effective option for a decent backpacking tent IF you realize up front that you need to waterproof it before use. Every tent I own, from the cheap ones made in China to the high dollar tents, has needed waterproofing before taking it out camping. I strongly recommend "Atsko Silicone Water Guard" as it's the BEST one out there that actually works. When you're applying the spray, you can actually see that it's bonding with the tent material as the tent begins to lose its transparent see-thru look. Pay special attention to spraying your stitched seams as well as you do the rest of the tent and you won't need separate seam sealer. You can find Atsko here on Amazon, but I pick mine up at Walmart for half the price and in a 13.125 oz can. I love the classic design of this tent and the fact that it packs down into a small enough package to stow in a backpack. (Even my smaller sized packs will hold this tent) Mine did not come with the rear window even though the box clearly says it has a "zippered/screened back window", which is a bummer because you need that window for ventilation in the warmer weather. I've even used this style of tent in the winter snow and stayed dry and warm. If you really want to improve this tent from the get-go, chuck the cheesy stakes and stretchy, cheap cords that come with all tents these days and replace them with good sturdy stakes and paracord for the tie-outs. (I use the stainless steel heavy duty stakes that Wally World sells for 48 cents each. You'll need 10 of them.) This is the 3rd tent of this style that I've bought over the years simply because they work extremely well if prepped right, are lightweight and pack down small. If possible, I do like to set up an overhead tarp just to keep the sun from turning this baby into a sweatbox in the warm months and add an extra layer of rain protection just in case. Like all tents I've ever owned, a little tweaking, waterproofing and common sense care during use and you'll enjoy this tent for a long time.

Not bad for the price
It sets up fast and packs pretty small. There's not a ton of room, but that's pretty much any tent, always assume it holds one less person than it's advertised as holding. My only serious criticism is that the floor is rather flimsy and I doubt it would offer much protection in even a mild rain.

Great tent, saved us from EEE on a later-forbidden lake during a rainy, windy camping trip
Used this on a camping trip with some friends. The lake we camped at was deemed off-limits two days later due to EEE being found in mosquitoes there Oops...oh well. Folded into it's bag, it's small enough and lightweight enough to put into a backpack. Assembly takes some getting used to, as there is no ridge pole. There is only a pole in the front and back. Make sure the lines are tight or else you'll lose a lot of interior room. Poles might get knocked down if you bump the pole going in, but it's an easy fix. It might be advertised as a two-person tent, but let's be honest, there's only enough room for one person, a backpack and a mini cot. Water resistance is ok. During the camping trip at EEE lake, a storm front came through. Lightening, thunder, rain, wind; the works. My friend and I knew this and had added a poncho-tarp to the top (military style poncho that has snaps on the side to double as a tarp, great for your B.O.B. or camping as it's dual-purpose) and hooked it over the front and back of the tent, and it helped keep the rain out. It weighed the top town a bit, so it got a bit crowded but it's worth it to not get wet. I think on it's own, it got somewhat damp on the outside but there was no standing water inside. The entrance has two flaps, one complete zip-up screen flap and a privacy flap. Both work fantastic. The Zip-flap kept the EEE mosquitoes out of my tent. There is also one small screen window (4"x6" perhaps). The screen itself is permanent, but the privacy flap to close it is on the outside, which sucks. I honestly just left it closed. To my astonishment, I was actually able to get a ultra low-profile cot (legs disassemble, not folding) inside the tent. I found a mini sleeping bag that was well-rated and an inflatable pillow on Amazon, that all went into my weekend camping kit. All worked well. The tent dried quickly the next morning and I was able to put it away. I bought one of these for my friend at a local army/navy store for my friend and he loved it as well. My third friend on the camping trip forgot a tent and decided to walk home at 2am because it was pouring rain outside. Not one of one got EEE, amazingly. Despite us getting bitten many times before turning in for the night. I'd like to credit the tent to keeping those mosquitoes out. I ran this tent through the gauntlet and it survived. Rain, wind, mosquitoes, rough woodland terrain; it survived.

Disappointed with QC still decent 4 $
Was really hoping for more based on the reviews, but was disappointed primarily with the quality. the material seems pretty nice considering the cost heavier duty than most tents in price range but the stitching is poor and already have some tears after one night. Definitely recommend getting better steaks and guy line the included hardware is pretty useless. also not sure if my tent is defect, but the side loops are an awkward place that doesn’t make sense when staked down it pulls the center of the tent. Inward stressing the front and back poles and deforming the shape. Also, one of my temp holes was bent definitely recommend sprain with water sealer is not waterproof, but still held up fairly well in mildly heavy rain for the price. I think it’s fair and the material for the floor is far better than any tent. I have seen at this price all in all I would manage my expectations when buying a tent under $100 , you can only expect so much I guess .

The worst tent ever! Took it to Jabal Al Jais in the UAE. It rained and the tent got flooded from the inside. Ruined my trip fully!
