Lido Cream 5 Topical Anesthetic Cream Lidocaine 5%, 1 Ounce

I bought this for my visits at the med spa before getting Foto facial (IPL) treatments. Put it on an hour before my appointment and by the time they started I was absolutely pain free during the whole procedure (face, neck, chest). I have tried other products before but they never seemed to work so well. This one was a lucky find so I will reorder. One tube was good for 2 applications (whole face, neck and chest. The numbing effect lasted about 3 hours and I guess that it will also help with all sorts of uncomfortable procedures that include needles (labwork needles, botox, fillers etc).

I bought this a few years ago to get a forearm tattoo and it was perfect. I was completely numb for the entire tattoo. I recently purchased again, with SO much confidence, since it worked before. I made an appointment to get 3 tattoos in one session. I figured with my numbing cream it would be a breeze. Unfortunately it didn't really work this time. I will admit that I was rushing when I applied it this time and I was sloppy when putting the Saran Wrap on. So, I will give it the benefit of doubt and use again for my next tattoos. Hopefully if I apply it properly it will work.

This product did not work for myself or my wife. It seems to do a surface numbing but doesn't penetrate to the joint. I have found a product that does work well and seems to have a lasting effect. Flexdermal is a little pricy but works very well

What can I say. It is a localized pain lessener - usually a deadener - for temporary use.I was glad I could obtain it through Amazon without a prescription - it is the strongest available without aprescription. If you have a need, it works well.

Didn't work at all. No numbness what so ever. I tried using a little then a lot and even tried using plastic wrap. No good

This stuff saves my butt. Literally. I get hemorrhoids sometimes, and they drive me crazy. NOT ANY MORE, because this stuff is great...totally numbs the area, and I'm right back to running around. Way cheaper than some other brands, and JUST as effective.

I used this to numb my bikini area prior to being waxed. I rubbed it into my skin, then applied a huge glob and covered the area in saran wrap. I left the saran wrap on for an hour. The area was numb for a couple hours. Well worth the money for someone as sensitive to pain as I am.

Yes, the product does work, however, it is alcohol based so depending on what you are using it for, it might be excruciatingly painful to apply. I gave it 3 stars because it does work, but they should have used a less abrasive/astringent base.
