NOT FOR AN ADULT MAN AT ALL!
I've given myself 5-weeks to get used to this laptop; IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! After using IBM & HP since 1997 as a computer EXPERT! I can't see many liking this "GENERIC" laptop, unless you have tiny fingers (small female/child) or have ENDLESS HOURS to learn all the new placement of keys!This is a CHILD'S laptop; or a MADE FOR little CHINESE people laptop (honestly with NO ANGER at all!)! I have to say they have good Customer Service, but when a product is BAD TO START & I'm too DISABLED to return it & start all over again; good Customer Service means NOTHING TO ME NOW!The FREE Chinese doll was interesting, but NOT APPROPRIATE when buying a laptop! How about adding a decent game instead? Then they send a free mouse. It's a HUGE Desktop mouse??? Not a small laptop mouse. Another FREE useless piece of junk! I'm BEDRIDDEN in a single bed, so how am I supposed to use the BIGGEST MOUSE THEY MAKE? Almost everyone uses their laptop in bed often (or from time to time) which makes this mouse USELESS in bed!The three choices above for 1-5 star choices are DUMB! Battery??? I'm BEDRIDDEN so I always keep it plugged in which makes Battery N/A (NOT APPLICABLE)! Plus the lightweight option is also N/A for me. How about a FEATURES choice? And a "Ease Of Use" choice?PROBLEMS: It took FOREVER to set everything up for starters (but I think part of that is Microsoft's trying to FORCE YOU TO SIGN-IN to their BIG BROTHER service on the newer Windows 10!)! I used to set-up my HP Laptops in 2-hours (WITH EVERYTHING TO MY SPECIFICS). >>> This XIDU took me 3-days (6-hours a day!) to set-up!The keyboard is VERY SMALL & so are the keys, plus the keys are too sunken in (it's EASY to slip off the right key). It's not like there's no extra room on the bottom part of the laptop, BECAUSE THERE IS ENOUGH EXTRA ROOM to expand the keyboard, make bigger keys & make the key LOCATIONS USA friendly. The arrows are all the way at the right edge (instead of two keys from the spacebar to arrows- like on ALL my laptops in the last 15-years). Plus the DELETE KEY (that I use OFTEN) is WAY TOO FAR RIGHT as well.Also on start-up-the "USE TOUCHSCREEN ONLY" randomly is set??? I have to RESTART the whole system to get it correct again!I had to SHUT OFF all the Touchpad options because they are WAY TOO SENSITIVE & activate by glancing the Touchpad while typing! I'm sure there's some shortcut to fix these things, but I have Advanced Myasthenia Gravis (causes severe daily eye fatigue- so I can't read much, minor shaky hands, and hand muscle spasms from typing & retyping because of errors DUE TO THESE TINY KEYS).I'm NOT even writing this review on my XIDU laptop. It would TAKE WAY TOO LONG! I'm using my BROKEN SCREEN HP laptop which had NO SOUND, NO MICROPHONE, NO CAMERA & I'd rather use this until It completely dies! That's how disgusted I am with this XIDU!I haven't even been able to try the XIDU bells & whistles like the 360-degree screen because I still can't work THE KEYBOARD effectively! Another thing; the screen magnification just randomly activates too. SO I'm truly AFRAID to try any XIDU other features yet...I'll never buy a "NO NAME" laptop again (which is what this XIDU is in the USA!). NEVER!!! Stick with HP. At least you already know what to expect, HP has their OWN AUTOMATED support that you get used to & you know the keyboard will be what you are used to (and you won't realize HOW IMPORTANT THAT WAS until you fully experience a screwed-up keyboard lay-out. PAY THE EXTRA $100 for an HP!I learned my lesson all too well. Now I'm stuck with a laptop I HATE for 7-10-years!9/19/20 UPDATE- The GENERIC "MADE IN CHINA" Charger they sent with this POS laptop DIED on me 3-days ago (I NEVER had a charged just die before- since 1997!). The 1st one Amazon search recommended was two times too big to fit into the laptop charger hole??? Then they recommended I buy a UNIVERSAL 16-plug size adapter charger ($12 more- $27 total). So I do. When I FINALLY GOT IT (Amazon driver delivered it to WRONG HOUSE!), the smallest plus is TOO SMALL & does not work. The next size up is TOO BIG! $27.00 WASTED!Now what do I do.? THESE XIDU COMPUTERS ARE CHEAP WORTHLESS CHINESE PIECES OF JUNK! All laptops I can afford ($350) are OUT OF STOCK everywhere thanks to COVID19 & rich people buying extra laptops they'll never use???

Honestly, this laptop has everything I am looking for. The backlight keyboard is great, the specs are wonderful and the for the price -- I WAS SOOO EXCITED. I get it and I notice the screen has to sit in certain position or it will go black. If I have do school work it can take forver, because I am constantly readjusting. My frustration is growing daily and I honestly can not recommend this laptop if this feature is normal. The tablet mode is not an important to me, and I do not know if it does this because it can switch modes. On 2 occasions the screen went black and would not turn back on, I had to restart the computer. Extremely frustrated by the time wasted.So as time has gone on ( a week) it has gotten much worse. I find this so infuriating. I paid good money for lemon. Serves me right. DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!

I want my money back
Cons:- camera barely works after about 6 months...grainy and can barely see anything- the screen/cover hinge is loose and wobbles...very hard to type with it on your lap, have to use desk- touch screen doesn't work with active styluses- hardly any detailed product information on company website and no product literature found in the box as received (i.e. no a manual with tech specs and how to fix common technical problems)- slow loading of websites using various browsers- keyboard looks nice, but when typing it feels cheap- power button on side makes it easy to hit by accident and restart the computer (bye bye hard work)Pros:- price- nice HD screen- all loaded software works- Windows 10 performance seems OK and haven't experience any lag or other performance issuesTakeaway: spend the money to get a better computer rather than have it fall apart after 6 months.

2 Different devices, 2 different problems
Ordered this 2 in 1 laptop for my mom as a Christmas gift. The specs were unbelievable for the price and now I know why. Once receiving the computer with a free gift, the display would not turn on. The computer and components were clearly functioning due to the backlit keyboard and the keyboard was responsive but the screen did not work. Unfortunately, I did not have a micro HDMI cable to hook up to a TV to see what was going on. Looked at the manual and tried all kinds of tricks and obvious solutions, the computer was returned and exchanged for a new one.The new one came working. The touch screen was very responsive and in real-time, very impressive. The display was 1080, as advertised, 8GB ram, and 128GB SSD, again, as advertised. Very impressed... Then it crashed. Blue screen with the infamous ":)" and the stop code of "memory management" (I suspect faulty ram or outdated drivers) this stop code would then come up numerous times over the course of the two and a half hours I spent trying to fix the dang thing along with some other stop codes sprinkled in. The computer came out of date for the Windows OS and the built-in anti-malware. I opened up the task manager and saw nothing out of the ordinary. I ended the updating of the malware and began the OS update. Several more crashes and a lot of time later, the computer was updated and booting up I hoped this would help the crashing and then I could update the drivers... It continued to boot up... I let it boot up for 30min then I turned it off and back on. Booted up again and booted up for another 10min and that was the end of it, I had enough. I put it back in the box and returned it. Very disappointed, I should have known this was too good to be true. Now my mom is mad at me and I am scrambling to find a quality replacement within her price range... DO NOT BUY!

Started out well, until they broke it with their 'help'
I bought this for my mother for Christmas and she was initially very happy with it, but as time went on the machine began to shut down randomly, sometimes three or four times a day. XIDU support recommended reinstalling Windows and sent their own instructions on how to do it. First they tried to send a link to a file... but didn't actually have the file available to download. Then they sent instructions on reinstalling Windows... which have now turned my mother's fairly-inexpensive laptop into a more-expensive brick. That screenshot is AFTER I followed their instructions.Needless to say I am not. happy. Don't bother buying anything from these people: their machines are faulty, their 'help' is useless, and now so is my mother's computer.
