Haoge LH-X100W 2in1 All Metal Lens Hood with Adapter Ring Set for Fuji Fujifilm FinePix X100 X100S X100T Silver

Perfect fit, nice finish, very pleased with this. There are no installation notes with the product, so for those wondering how to attach the adapter ring: you must first remove the factory-issued front ring on the x100t. It is very thin and shallow. An easy way to do this is to put the fuji lens cap on and apply a little force, while turning counter-clockwise. The inner coating of the fuji cap will grab the ring and turn it, and you can finish removing it by hand. This is a different filter adapter/lens hood than the standard Fuji one and the countless imitators.The usual hood is a shallow, wide diameter, vented hood. The hood's wider diameter allows room for mounting a lens cap or filter + lens cap with the hood still attached.The Haoge hood mounts to the filter adapter using the same threads you would use for a filter. Instead of becoming a wider diameter, it actually tappers inwards, forming a smaller opening that doesn't vignette. What's interesting is that you could use the original lens cap that comes with the X100 series camera instead of a separate 49mm lens cap. I find the narrower opening to make it less likely that fingers would accidentally touch the front element of the X100 lens and with its black painted interior does a better job of a lens hood that blocks stray light.With the knurling on the outside, it feels nicer than the usual vented hood without being that much heavier.

Compact and effective. Not sure what the 2 in 1 is but fits in my case with it on. Did get a bit of flare in some very adverse conditions but works well.

Recently bought the Fuji X100F. Previously, I had the original X100.I had this lens hood for that, and found it very useful.To my mind it looks better than the inwardly flared, vented one. I have no problem with flare, so either it works, or I haven't taken any flare pics.My main reason for using it, is to protect the front of the lens. It would take a serious impact to damage the lens, with this hood fitted.Also, I don't think it detracts from the look of the camera, or the warm response to it from the general public.

I have been using for years Ken Rockwell's hack using an empty tall filter ring screwed in backwards, but this is so much better! Even the hood (I bought this for the adaptor ring) looks much better than in the pictures and I think I am going to leave it on. Interestingly enough, the hood covers completely whatever filter you're using, so the actual lenght of the lens stays the same! The whole thing matches the colour exactly to the rest of the lens and camera, bravo Haoge!

Fit and finish matches my X100T perfectly, and unlike the bigger foods the original cap fits perfectly - in fact it also fits just the adaptor, so if you want to use (say) a polariser you can leave the hood off and the cap still fits. Nice.I can't fault it; even the packaging was good - simple but effective.

I've noticed some vignetting when the lens is wide open, so I won't be using it. Otherwise, it's well made and unobtrusive,

Il paraluce è veramente bello: costruito interamente in metallo svolge ottimamente il suo lavoro di paraluce. Rispetto a quello originale a mio avviso porta due vantaggi ulteriori: non bisogna smontarlo per utilizzare il tappo copri obiettivo originale FuJi e protegge molto bene la lente rendendo superflua l'installazione di un filtro UV di protezione
