Kidde 420118 Mounting Bracket for Mariner Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers 2.5 lb thru 2.75 lb M5, M10, M110

Very nice bracket, way better than the plastic garbage that comes with the extinguishers. I used it to mount an extinguisher to my side by sides roll bar. I did add an extra piece of Velcro (not pictured) for added security in case it caught a branch or something on the trail. The extra Velcro wouldn’t be necessary if you mounting this indoors or a workshop.Highly recommended upgrade.

I used the bracket for Kidde FA110 Multi Purpose Fire Extinguisher 1A10BC and it fit well.

I used this with a kidde marine fire extinguisher. 4 screws and it holds the extinguisher secure. After I ordered I noticed part numbers made it seem it would not fit but I opened it anyways and glad I did. I trailer the boat and in freshwater so I assume it will hold up.

See photos. This is what happens to the mount after a year exposure to a salt air environment. It appears to be made of only mild steel. The box says it's "durable." I'm not sure what the manufacturer means by that.Ironically, the plastic mounts - that don't disintegrate into rust - aren't USCG approved.

These are far better than the crappy plastic mounts that Kidde includes with their smaller fire extinguishers, if you want a reliable mount that won't break after a few months of sitting undisturbed this is the way to go. It has some rubber padding so there is zero wobble or shakiness in the mount as well.

i've had this installed on a boat all summer to hold an extinguisher and it hasn't rusted at all yet. nor has it dropped my extinguisher even when hitting some big wakes and getting rocked so yeah, its a good version of what it is.

Fits other permanent mounting brackets or stands alone

I use one of these on my race car. I'd crashed a few times. Last time was head on into a tree at 60 mph or so. The extinguisher never moved and it was mounted such that the band was the only thing stopping it.
