OFF! Deep Woods Insect Repellent Spray Long Lasting from Mosquito Protection 6 Ounce (Pack of 4)

I live by the river and I am constantly spraying this stuff to ward off mosquitoes. Works great sometime and ok other times. I think the mosquitoes around here are getting immune to the stuff.

I hate to say it, but I love this stuff. I have sensitive sinuses and this stuff does irritate them a little but I’ve found flies in the desert do too and they avoid me big time when I’m wearing Deep Woods. I’ve tried the gentler stuff and I keep coming back to this. As soon as it gots hot in the San Diego desert the flies come out in full force; big and little. They are into people and especially your ears. Thank goodness they don’t bite but they can drive you to distraction. Obviously I’m not going to spray it around my head so I spray a little on my fingers and dab it around my ears. That seems to do the job. It lasts all day too. I’ve also started spraying my hat real good. The top and bottom of the visor and all over the outside. I let it dry then put it back on. If you put it on wet you can smell the fumes, but not after it’s dry. For my pugs good ole Amazon has “Flys-Off” made for dogs and cats. I spray some on my hand and pet their head, ears and under their chin. It works great. At first one pug would get upset but after she realized the benefit she now appreciates it. The other pug just gives me a “thanks mom” look. It does work but isn’t recommended for humans. For my sinuses Amazon has “Xlear” a saline spray with a couple mild additives that is incredible. It even got my ancient saliva glands going again! It comes in a pump or squeeze bottle. So bugs beware...we’re not afraid to use the tough stuff. Watch out or I’ll plug in my 70’s electric bug zapper and then you’ll be real sorry! (Also available you know where!)

Repellent V 2-Pack. Has a non-insect repellant scent, like a light-pine aroma, that soon dissipates. Nothing like the chemical DEET aroma in their other Deep Woods products. I attract mosquito's like a magnet, and gnat/flies. This is the only spray that keeps everything away - even California's newest Tiger mosquito's that dive-bomb and chase you. I'm still testing it. I always return to correct or delete my reviews. I just ordered another 2-pack. I want a can at every station in my daily routine. Okay then,...... I'm going in! ••••••••••••• My dog and I went on our late evening walk, only even later yesterday, and we walked down into the "jungle valley" where residents have banana trees, ferns aplenski, and other shady plants that provide a canopy of moistness where mosquito's thrive and attack. Nary a buzz did we hear. No mosquito's would even participate in "fly-overs", or recon missions, and I had been werkin' all day and reeking of whatever attracts them. •••••••••••••• 11-1-15 Not believing that the OFF could actually work that well, we took another evening walk. It turned out to be a mosquito-free walk, so I'm sold on Repellant V.

We went to DR this summer and I was freaking out about the Zica virus! So I ordered this to keep the family safe, and it did a great job repelling all mosquito!! Easy to apply to the kiddos as it was a spray, lasted long enough that we could enjoy our dinner a walk and ice cream. Some Cons: - it is a little sticky, so once you apply you don't want to touch that area - I sprayed on my feet with shoes off and it took color off my shoes to my skin. I know I shouldn't have sprayed on the shoes but I was in a rush. Not a big deal. Definitely consider if you are going to an area where you need to keep mosquitoes as far away as possible

Living in Florida, mosquito repellent is something we keep around pretty much all the time, especially during the warmer months when it feels like you can't spend five minutes outside without getting bitten. OFF! Deep Woods has been a reliable option for us when we know we're going to be outdoors for an extended period of time. I especially like this for evenings outside, backyard activities, camping, outdoor events, or anywhere we're going to be around wooded or grassy areas. The aerosol can makes application quick and easy, and the spray distributes evenly without having to spend a lot of time rubbing product in. This particular formula contains 25% DEET, so I tend to reach for it when I want something more substantial than a lighter everyday bug spray. As with any insect repellent, I follow the directions on the can regarding application and reapplication. It does have the recognizable bug spray scent, so if you're sensitive to fragrance that's something to keep in mind. Personally, I'm much more concerned about keeping mosquitoes away, and this has worked well for us. I also appreciate getting the two-pack. We can keep one at home and another with our outdoor supplies so we're less likely to realize we need bug spray after we're already outside. If you live somewhere with a serious mosquito population, this is one of those practical products that's worth keeping stocked. For us in Florida, it definitely gets used.

To deter insects, DEET is needed. I am "the one" the insects love, and this has helped me be able to manage the outdoors walking my dog in early morning or evening in hot Baltimore summertime.

After trying slightly cheaper products like Cutter I went back to OFF. Don't get me wrong, Cutter and other brands worked just as well but I noticed that OFF makes or uses better sprayers. They don't dehydrate in the heat if left outside and the sprayer works great until almost the last drop. I noticed with my other brands like Cutter that it would start to lose liquid if left outside for a few days (my wife is notorious for leaving the bottle outside). I also noticed that other brands would still have liquid in them but the sprayer would essentially stop working or spray straight liquid when getting low. It seems OFF sprays a good solid mist for it's product life and doesn't give up. So saving money actually brings me back to OFF because I get the whole bottle instead of just 3/4's of the bottle!
