bright, noisy, blinking bulbs
Bulbs are very bright, as expected... unfortunately they emit noise, which is irritating.3 out of 6 bulbs are blinking.updateSeller has initiated an investigation and it turned out that noise and blinking issues appeared because these bulbs were installed with dimmer switch.I was aware that these bulbs are non-dimmable, and just thought that if installed with dimmer they will not dimm. It turns out that if these bulbs are installed with dimmer, they will emit noise and will blink.If installed properly (without dimmer), these bulbs will work as designed to - no noise or blinking, very bright light.Only one bulb is needed to light up the whole attic in my house (2,800 sq ft) !!!

Doesn't last
Fine while it lasted. Began to flicker when 3 years 1 month old. At almost $17/year, this bulb is not a bargain if it gives out in 3 years.

Time will tell, but great so far
I like it! It emits enough light for my outdoor enclosed fixture. I'll just have to wait and see how the longevity is. It's pretty cool technology in this bulb, just too bad we can't manufacture something like this in this country.

Good bulbs but pricey
Light quality and the ability to use this bulb in enclosed fixtures are what may justify the high price (at least to me for my initial purchase). I recently ordered my second bulb but it failed for whatever reason. At this price, I was not happy that the bulb could fail and I started looking for alternatives. I have finally settled on GE Reveal CFL bulbs that are about 70 lumens dimmer and the light quality is slightly yellower. But, given that the CFL bulbs cost about $7 vs the $50 for these LED bulbs, maybe I can live with the slight defects .....

Great light, nice color.
great light - nice color for in-house use (not too white). This is perfect as I should not have to change it for some time. It is nice to find a LED light that works in an enclosure.

I am an Electrical Contractor and needed some A type LED 100w replacment bulbs for a theater dimmer rack edition. These work great as just lamps but they do not dim as they should. They go from bright to about 25% to off without any in between. I am so glad I bought one to test it first.
