for what age is this book appropriate for?

To tell you the truth, the last time I looked at the book was in May and I just don't remember. My granddaughter lives in Texas so I don't see her often. I know she started to read the book but it was a little hard. She's 6/1st grade but reading at 3rd grade level if that's of any help and that was back then too. Sorry I can't help more.
