My nephew enjoy assembling this viilage and she loves the candies as well.
Creating this village with my nephew was an absolute blast! While not massive, it's perfectly sized for a 6-year-old's enjoyment. The kit comes with a generous amount of icing and candies, and I received additional nerds, M&Ms, and mini gumdrops. However, I encountered challenges with the structural stability of the pieces, suggesting extra caution during assembly to avoid potential issues, even though the surplus candies enhance the overall fun of constructing this village for a delightful experience.

Disappointed!
For future buyers, just know that the houses are smaller than expected, which was the least of our troubles. The quality of gingerbread was poor; 3/4 of the a”houses” crumbled and broke off while assembling. The icing is apparently inedible, which was shocking to us! It also doesn’t hold the pieces together well. There were only 4 gum drops included, which fine, but for the price point, we were really disappointed and ended up just tossing it after I had an allergic reaction to even having the icing on my hand. Definitely not suitable for kids. Not sure how they can even sell this, honestly.

Super Gingerbread Castle
Awesome gingerbread house!! Kind of expensive for a gingerbread house but since it’s Super Mario themed, I get it. Also, it came with PLENTY of supplies (both icing and candy, more than you even need, which gives you some leeway for mistakes) and it’s all high quality (no broken cookie pieces!).Turned out great once we were done.I can’t speak to the taste because we never eat our houses, they’re just decoration.Only downside was that it didn’t come with quite enough gummy pieces to make the border around the door, but I cut them in half I subbed some candy coins to make do.

Adorable
Recommend warming the gingerbread in the microwave for 15-30 sec and they walls will come apart easily. They were crumbly and hard to get apart until we decided to try the microwave to warm it.Would purchase again but do recommend buying extra frosting & decorations

Very brittle
Since these were so small, most broke at the gentlest cut of the lines trying to separate the pieces. Sadly also the glue frosting took so long to dry that the littles gave us since it just kept falling. Next time I’m just gonna use a hot glue gun (and not have the gingerbread edible) and save the frosting for the candy they will eat off the house.

Mini Houses
We had a ball with this kit. Having said that, we didn't know we were supposed to allow the icing that "glues" the panels together to dry for hours prior to opening and reading the directions. Also, these houses are much smaller than I expected, more like mini houses. That was great for us, just unexpected. The housing pieces were a nice thickness and quite hard, we had no problem with breakage even with a 11 year old boy participating. Plenty of icing and decors, but 3 piping bags and tips for 8 houses was not nearly enough. Luckily, I had some of my own. You'll want to purchase extra piping bags and tips if you have more than a couple of people putting these together (we had 6).

Fun, but Inedible
I saw all the crummy reviews for gingerbread houses on Amazon which basically said the gingerbread was all cracked and crumbled. People stupidly said they couldn't return defective / broken items -- this is Amazon! Amazon has the best customer service in the world! So, I took a chance and bought this.My gingerbread walls came mostly intact. There was a little bitty corner that was cracked off, and I easily fixed it with icing "glue". Instructions were pretty bad, but then again, it's a gingerbread house, not rocket science. We managed.Building it was a lot of fun for me and the kids; we never did anything like this before (and I'm 50 with a mom who used to love crafts!) so it was quite an adventure.Unfortunately, the gingerbread house was completely, 100% inedible. Simply dreadful. The gingerbread was beyond stale: it was horrid. It tasted like it was in that packaging for *years* before we opened it. But beyond being stale, it was very low quality gingerbread. Honestly? Kinda tasted like Milkbone. The icing was the low quality type and little candy gummies were also hard and stale beyond chewing. I took one nibble and decide "No way, Jose!". My daughter insisted on taking a couple of bites and then decided it wasn't worth it. Sadly, we tossed the house away without eating it. Sad. But it was fun, so I'm still giving it two stars.
