Great starter ink pen
Both of my older daughters use these pens for school work and they are a good intro to ink pen use. The ink cartridges (we use quink as it is washable) are easy to change and last for ages. The shaft of these pens can split of overtightened so some care/awareness of this is required. The three star on value for money reflects this issue as thicker plastic would be better. Otherwise, light, easy to use and a cost effective option when starting to use proper pens.

Works as it should
Came with two black cartridge instead of one blue, one black, which was a bit annoying because I want blue ink but apart from that, all goodEdit. The ink doesn't flow to the nib unless you shake the pen. Will be returning it

Not sure if the quality is up to par?
I’m an old Parker pens fan, but I’m quite disappointed with this reincarnation of the classic Jotter fountain pen, like the vector the barrel will crack after a few years of abuse.Would I give this one to a student who needs a good inexpensive pen set? No, because I prefer the platingum over the Parker if I want a more balanced and reliable fountain pen to write with.Ink flow is awkward, will leak like crazy over your fingers, be prepared for an awkward start and rougher penmanship, nibs could be lot better and more smooth to write with, depends on the ink that is used be prepared for a lot of smudging on paper, is it versatile? Err not after all the decades of practice, like to have a set of italic nibs or left handed nibs. Size wise it is fine but not the most enjoyable pen to use after hours of writing. Thanks for the very bright colours though, it is extremely quirky collection.Pro’s fine if you’re wanting to buy a name, con’s awkward bugger for a first fountain pen, plastic barrels don’t last long after a few years.Otherwise you can’t go wrong with a Parker as a backup pen. If you can put up with the problems that come with the pen, it’ll do you for a number of years.

Value
This pen really surprises, it is smooth and the ink flow is even. For a fountain pen under £10 I was dubious, but the name Parker is still quality. If your looking for a gift for a student or anyone who writes this is perfect, I highly recommend you try one.

OK but not the best for a Parker pen.
I have had quite a few Parker fountain pens, even since being in school and have always found them to be good quality and reliable. However, I have to be honest and say I was a little disappointed with this model. I write at a bit of an angle and I found that this pen did not like that at all; at times it would not write and I had to keep repositioning it (remember I have been using fountain pens for years so I know how to do so). It also doesn’t seem to ‘glide’ across the paper in the same way as some of the others and writing notes quickly with it feels a bit laboured.Overall, it is sturdy and of good quality and I’m sure would be fine for some people with different writing styles. However, my advice if you want a Parker fountain pen would be to pay a few pounds extra for the Vector XL model, which I have found to be much nicer to use and which has a bit more size and weight to it, making it more comfortable to hold for me personally.

Good value for money.
Nice pen. Bottom part is plastic, but still good nice looking pen. A little thin on the bottom, but used to it very quickly. I will buy again.

It's a Parker.
I have a copy of this pen I found for 3 bucks and it's one of my best fountain pens. How bad can the real thing be. Parker for life. It's going to have to be something major to make me say anything bad about a Parker Pen. This probably won't be a fair review. It writes fantastic. It's plastic so it is light. No, it isn't a high end writing utensil. I don't care. Been using the pen all day and love it. Parker RULES!!!
