Grafix 9-Inch-by-12-Inch Stencil Film Matte; 4-Pack

Used this (with painter's tape over the sheet) to laser cut stencils. They worked well and held up to a lot of abuse using them with Sharpies to color in the design. Multiple other uses too. Sturdy and good quality.

This works great! I saw that people were doing the same mistake I was when I first purchased this years ago. I tried to cut it with an Exacto Blade. NO! USE A SOLDERING IRON with a thin tip! It'll change your world!I bought this years ago thinking that making stencils would be fun and lasting using this product. Because we all know that paper is only good for one MAYBE two times... But, when I tried to cut with an Exacto blade, nothing worked! I let it sit for years in disappointment. Then, I was doing some more stencils and came across this again in my portfolio and was looking at it and not understanding WTF? Then it came to me... Look at the cover! The company tells you how to do it! Look at the upper left side! DUH!!! After I did that, I can't get enough of these! Permanent stencils!!!! Dumb me, great product!!! This just taught me to read the directions, in this case, look at the pictures!

I used these to practice face painting on. I can put a drawing of a face under it and see it well enough to paint around it. The texture helps the paint stick. Good alternative if you don't want to shell out the money for a professional practice board.

The Matte Stencil Film has a different texture then the Grafix Clear-Lay plastic film, more film like compared to the Clear-Lay's soft plastic. Because it is matte you can draw the stencil design onto the plastic sheet, which is sometimes useful. They both make good stencil sheets, the reason I'm not giving it a 5 is that you only get 4 sheets per package, where you get 25 per package with the Clear-Lay and they work equally well as stencils. Just not as good a bargain.

For some tasks, I can't think of anything else that works nearly as well. The dry film won't wrinkle sensitive papers and is so thin it might as well have no thickness at all. Strong tack holds perfectly well, and it can cover the whole back surface of the work smoothly and evenly, giving god all-over grip. The backing sheets that protect the film take a bit of work to peel off - easy enough once you get that first corner open, but that can be a nuisance. And it is a bit pricey - not prohibitive for that special project, but I'll keep using double-stick tape for routine applications.But, when I want that work to come out the best I can possibly make it, this adhesive works like none other I've found - and I use lots of different adhesives.-- wiredweird

I know that this is sold as a crafting aid - to help stick down pictures or rugs or whatever.Our need was to try to stop our cat from destroying the cloth on the couches and chairs. As with many cats, ours loves to dig his claws into the cloth and stretch. Other times he likes to use the couch as an air-guitar. In any case, he leaves a mark.But he doesn't like to find the sticky stuff and once he finds a spot is covered with the two sided tape, he doesn't try again.We weren't sure it would work so we only bought one to start with. Another order has been placed to cover all the furniture.Can't tell you how well it works to stick down rugs or photos but if you want to keep your cat from scratching your cloth furniture and don't want to remove his/her claws, this is a good option.

Second time ordering this product. Works great. Not too thin, not too thick for making your own stencils.

Note that this is 1 package which contains just 3 sheets - not a "3-pack" as described in the product description. Aside from the fact that I thought I was buying three packages of the laminating film, it works well enough. We use it to make craft projects with our pressed leaves and flowers.

C’est un bon produit pour faire des gabarits pour courtepointes. On peut se servir d’un fer à souder électronique pour couper. Cela laisse un ligne fine et c’est vraiment mieux qu’un exacto.

Everything 100%. I bought this for a project I'm working on that needs stencils. Before I was using card stock. Glad I'm not doing that anymore. Easy to transfer designs onto and easy to cut. I cut with scissors.
