I purchased a few new trees last fall, so making sure I watered them in properly was very critical to me. I had a tree sprinkler that was a few years old, and when I turned it on I found it was leaking all over the place. So, I pitched the old one and started hunting for a new one. I wanted one that was different - more sturdy than the standard plastic one that was awkward to connect. I found this one and liked that it was made in America and also looked stronger than the others, so I purchased it. It was delivered right away in a box that was effortless to open.Then, due to the unusual amount of rain we had this spring, I had to wait about a month to try it out. I have to admit I was a bit impatient to give it a shot, When we finally had a bit of a dry spell, I connected it to the garden hose and turned it on. WOW, am I impressed! It connects easily - no leaks - and is flexible, so you can move the 2 arms to the adjustment you want around the tree. I didn't turn the water on very high - just 1/2 a turn - and the water was coming out of the slots at just the right speed - it wasn't gushing out, running down the hill and away from the tree, but coming out at a steady rate, being properly absorbed where I wanted it to go.I had some minor difficulties with the payment process (which were minor and not their fault at all), and found the gentleman I talked to - Todd - to be fantastic. He was unusually prompt, super courteous, and eager to resolve the situation, which was fixed in no time at all. I got the impression that this is from a start up company, and I kind of like that - American innovation at work, wanting to take an old stand-by product and make it better. Yay for American Ingenuity!I really can't say enough good things about this product. Yes, it is a little bit pricier than the cheap plastic ones, but this one is well made and will lasts for years and years. I've already decided to buy one for my sister for Christmas! When I get a chance I'll upload some pictures of the product, but if you are an avid gardener or tree-hugger and plan on investing in some trees or bushes for your landscaping, this product is worth every penny! You won't regret it!

We had to plant a new tree but need to water it during the winter (while our irrigation system is shut down.) I searched and found this! It's a great idea and works well.

I was very excited about getting this water hoop for my mango tree, since there's nothing really comparable that I can find that's not a soaker hose that has to wrap around the tree (which is annoying to move around). Delivery was fine, I plugged in the water hoop to test how much water it would emit at my preferred water pressure (I put it in a big plastic box). When I pulled the hose out of the box, the black tubing just came off of the connector piece. I can't imagine that this is the way it was designed, and when I looked inside, there seemed to be some sort of glue residue remaining inside the female part, and the metal male part also had some sticky residue remaining on it.For $30 bucks for some tubing and plastic, albeit cleverly designed, I expected a little bit more quality. The way it is now, you can easily just kick it off and water will just leak out your hose. Can't speak to how long it will last given that it's defective out of the box. I tried calling the customer service number for this company listed on Amazon and got some company named "Juicy Crab". I called the number listed on their website waterhoop.com and got some nice Indian man in Kansas City who informed me I had the wrong number. Disappointing. Will try to duck tape it together, and if it doesn't work, returning during the Amazon return window!UPDATE: The seller, who is also the inventor and owner of Waterhoop got in touch with me after seeing my review. He immediately offered to replace the defective hoop, which I just received yesterday which now has a clamp holding the two connecting pieces together. He also included a letter, which I found to be a nice personal touch, also explaining how he had remedied both the design of the hoop and also updated the contact information, so hopefully you can now get in touch with the company directly instead of just leaving a bad review :)Upgrading my initial 2 star to 4 stars. The new hoops seems to work fine, no problem. Will update if anything changes (and if it keeps my mango tree alive!) Last picture shows new updated design with clamp. The media could not be loaded.  No complaints. The size of the circular enclosed area is perfect for my very stressed smaller crepe myrtles. It wouldn't be very functional for larger trees and shrubs but it does allow for some expansion with the rubber tubing. For now it's awesome. The foliage doesn't get wet as long as the amount of water flowing out is minimal and thr control valve let's you adjust that at the connection. I may get one for the few shrubs in my front yard.

Great saturation of the ground on all sides of the tree. Easy assembly and install.
