DecoArt TS04-B Texture Stencils by Tracy Moreau, Brocade and Berry Borders

Well-made and is the current trend in home fashion. I've taken classes in faux painting styles and stenciling as well as interior design. These stencils are well made and easy to use. The stencil does not have the sticky back as some and I have bought that type of stencil to keep your stencil secure for your project and they are nice, but not necessary. There is stencil tape available on Amazon which I've bought and the roll lasts forever and this is all you need to keep your project in place. This stencil is thicker than some which is nice because it will last forever if you keep it clean after use. The thickness helps keep the fine lines of the design in place instead of curling away as some of the less expensive stencils do. It's rare to see a well made stencil with the current home trend for this price. Usually the trendy stencils are marked up, but not on Amazon. It's not necessary to take classes for stenciling either. Take your stencil and tape it in place. Take a blunt stiff paint brush and tap lightly on your color. Then tap on a clean spot of paper or a clean rag set aside for this purpose. Then tap on your stencil shape lightly. Do not worry if it's too light. You can always go back and tap on more. It's harder if you place too much paint, because you'd have to do it over. Have your chosen colors on some cardboard or paper and dab paint and practice your colors before you start; I promise you can do it. There are plenty of stencils and paints with arrays of colors and trendy designs to choose from, as well as brushes and even paint pallets if you choose. I started a paint projects collection with my purchases on Amazon. I have not purchases any paint or stencils at mall stores since I discovered I can find what I need on Amazon.

I thought I could use this for making cards but it is just too large,great for a wall or larger surface

Pretty stencils. I have used them on different pieces of furniture. My only suggestion would be that there would be more room between stencils so when you cut them apart to use individually you would end up with an easier to use size. The end result on both of my projects was very nice.

I just finished a project w/ these stencils and they are fabulous--very sturdy, but also finely detailed. I found this lovely antique plant holder which had space for 6 pots. Since the planter was a worn Verde Gris color, I used a metallic paint to match it & the finished project was perfect. When I cleaned up the stencils, they were like new again! I highly recommend this product.

THESE stencils are thicker than others and you can clean and use many times. The berry borders can be used in many creative ways. I have used them over my headboard, "framing the corners" overlapped the pattern and use different colors. The brocade is two different styles and can also be made into a border. This set is great for beginners also.

Made a breeze doing a faux painting in my room. Very easy to use, sturdy plastic, and clean up was simple for another time. Effective and nice pattern.

This is a very pretty stencil so I would give it a 5 for just that but when it comes to cleaning, I find them a bit too delicate for my liking as they may get damaged when scrubbing. If that doesn't bother you, then they are really nice!

I have used these stencils when making gelli-plate art and I love them. They are easy to use, flexible and can be used over and over again. I highly recommend them.
